It’s always fun to bring somebody visiting, which is what I did yesterday I love climbing so I have no issues with the stairs but my friend has a fear of heights so was a bit leery. She persevered and was delighted she did so. No matter what time of year it’s always lush here and through the seasons there are a variety of things blooming. To me it’s always beautiful. And of course, arriving at Coit Tower is always spectacular. We intended to take the Greenwich steps back, but forgot to change course.

5 /5 FFKDTP1: Great stair workout up to Coit Tower and back. Some beautiful gardens and landscaping along the staircases, as people live right next to them. Be respectful and stay off their property and just climb and descend the stairs.

4 /5 Prawnsalad1991: I did not particularly enjoy these shabby steps and breaking up the sweat climbing them but they offered a great view of Levi’s Plaza Park and led up to the Coit Tower in the end.

Peter Bolton: Best place in SF for: nature,museum, aquarium, no stress environment. Learn something new each time you go. You can spend hours here and still want to come back. Get yourself a family plus membership if you want to bring another family with you each time (kids are free). So 4 adults means your kid will be hosting a lot of free museum visits for others. This is good for people wanting to make friends in preschool and Kindergarten. Don’t pay for parking- walk across the baseball field and park for free. It’s a beautiful walk.

China Basin Park - San Francisco

Lisa: I participated in the Light the Night Walk benefitting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at the brand new China Basin Park. At night it was stunning seeing the lights on the bay, Oracle Arena and much more. The next morning we walked there to see it in the daytime. This new park is lovely. There are several grassy areas, a nice wide walk/cycle path that is on the perimeter (right next to the shoreline) an inviting sandy beach area with bright red Adirondack chairs to sit. The bathrooms (non-gender) are large and clean. We spotted so many people walking their dogs, pushing strollers and cycling. Perfect spot for a picnic, to read a book, play on the little beach, fly a kite or walk/bike ride.

Washington Square - San Francisco

George Marius: Washington Square is a beautiful and relaxing spot in the heart of North Beach. Its the perfect place to take a break, enjoy the fresh air, and people-watch. The park is surrounded by great cafés and restaurants, making it an ideal spot to grab a coffee and unwind. The view of Saints Peter and Paul Church adds a charming, historic feel to the area. Whether youre out for a stroll, having a picnic, or just soaking up the city vibes, Washington Square is a must-visit in San Francisco!

Katrina Jenkins: A tourist attraction in San Francisco I cannot get enough of. It has changed a lot since Covid. I love Blue Mermaid but your typical tourist will go to Boudins Sourdough bakery and swear by it up and down. Been coming here so long, my favorite part was back in my childhood. There was a man called bushman who used to sit at one of the coves by the restaurants and pop out of two branches and scare people. Ohh how I wish someone would bring that back. You could take a fishing boat out and catch some fish to bring home and cook. You can buy some candy at sugar the biggest candy store in the United States. You could just walk up and down and take photos by the street artist or the large fisherman’s wharf sign. There are so many things to do at the fisherman wharf you can always find something to do or if you just wanna relax go hang out on the grass at the park at the very end.

Fort Mason Park - San Francisco

Doug Ho: Fort Mason Park was once an historic army post located at the edge of the San Francisco Bay. Now, paved accessible trails connect Fort Masons upper and lower units. In between, the Great Meadow slopes down from upper Fort Mason to the Marina. These grassy hilltops and hollows are great for picnicking, sunbathing, walking, or sports activities. The meadow also offers wonderful views of San Franciscos hilly skyline and the Golden Gate Bridge. Fort Mason served as an Army post for more than 100 years, initially as a coastal defense site and subsequently as a military port facility. During World War II, it was the principal port for the Pacific campaign. Today it is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and the site of several cultural facilities. The entire fort area is listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places.

Peace Pagoda - San Francisco

Kimberly Ann Graham: The Peace Pagoda in SFs Japantown is currently under renovation. This project was started in May of 2024 and isnt expected to be finished until the end of 2025 early 2026. The entire area is fenced off with chain link fence and green screening. Cant really give it a good review at this point but when they do open it, I will get photos and revise my review. Cant wait to see this beautiful part of town revitalized and renewed.
