3 /5 Amanda Paradis: I really hate leaving poor reviews. But I went yesterday for a pedicure and for dip powder on my nails. The pedicure was fantastic and their prices for everything are pretty comparable to what I was used to paying before (I moved back to the Central Valley about 4 weeks ago and needed to find a new salon).
First, I was a little weirded out by the process for the dip nails. They use a gel base to dip in instead of the base and activator and such that Im used to. But that doesnt bother me a whole bunch as long as I like how the nails come out.
The real problem is that she nicked several of my fingers while filing them down and never even apologized. Ive had fingers nicked before, my old stylist and I joked about it because she always got one nail and she told me to just remind her not to go so close to my cuticle on that one. But she also did that with the Dremel (and on my ring finger). These nicks were done with a nail file, on both my index fingers, and one on my middle finger as well thats not as bad. Theyre really painful but I was going to write them off until I almost dropped my phone this morning and they split open upon catching it.
I feel bad because the staff seems nice enough and, like I said, the pedicure was fantastic. But I likely wont be returning.
