They told me exactly how long it would take to fix my header gasket, and they delivered right on schedule — done in just two days! Pedro, Marcos, Diego, and Jorge were all super professional and took the time to explain everything clearly. This is now my go-to shop. I highly recommend them — don’t believe the one-star reviews floating around. These folks offer red carpet service every time. Thank you, El Camino team!

1 /5 Larry K: AN ARROGANT MECHANIC WHO DISPARAGES CUSTOMERS When I picked up the car after repair, I asked Pedro if I can test drive around the block. He starts looking annoyed and says I have to pay first. I tell him I will pay after I confirm the problem is fixed, because the same part was replaced by him recently. He goes in the car with me to make sure I dont run off with the car for a 1-minute drive around the block. Everything was OK and I go in his office to pay. I ask him a few more questions and then he starts lashing out at me angrily. He says he doesnt want customers who dont "trust" the mechanic and what I did was very unprofessional. I should never come back and I am no longer welcome to his business. Pedro, I cant trust you because: 1) You cut me off half way thru my sentence whenever I try to ask you a question with arrogant "I know more than you" responses, you never listen or try to patiently educate your customers 2) You say you will call back with updates and never do - I have to keep calling to see what the estimate is or if the work is complete 3) You say you dont have records of my repair even though I clearly got the repairs done from you and have receipts, and then you start blaming me for it, and question that I got the work done from some other place 4) You blame your work on defective parts without actually assessing the situation for even a split second or explaining why you think youre right 5) After spending thousands of dollars on your service, I believe I have a right to test drive my own car; I cannot trust or respect a business owner whose ego is so fragile to be offended by such a basic request and throws a tantrum at the customer Ive brought my car here few times due to proximity to my house. I already had no plans to come back to this place and Im thankful he made that clear for me.

5 /5 Katie Lavoie: Wow, this was by far the best experience I have had with any auto service. I called Pedros late evening, after the shop had closed, and he picked up. He immediately assessed the issue, even after the stated open hours, so I could make it to work okay the next morning. He was kind, honest, thorough and genuinely cared about making sure the issue with my car was taken care of well. It turned out to be a battery issue and not an alternator issue (thank goodness). Pedro was professional, efficient and honest--it was a great experience and I will be returning for any future car needs!
