06-2025 Downtown Oceanside in Hight rate 19 location for tourist in Oceanside, CA, USAMission San Luis Rey - Oceanside Jim H: Beautiful and historic. We came late in the day after a hike. Beautiful grounds and church. The staff at the church discussed some of the history with us.
Buddy Todd Park - Oceanside Cory Wilcox: Buddy Todd Park is an absolute gem! It’s peaceful, clean, and full of open green space with tons of shade from big, beautiful trees. I brought my cat, Phoenix, here for the first time, and he had a blast exploring and even tried to climb a few trees (his favorite thing!). The park felt safe and well-maintained, and it was a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. We’ll definitely be back—Phoenix gives it two paws up!
Pirate Shores - Carlsbad Neil Bailey: We rode this one over and over and over because it was great spraying other riders but also spraying unexpecting people walking too close. Kids had a blast soaking folks and getting wet themselves, adults either enjoyed it or were surprised to get sprayed with water.
Fun Town - Carlsbad Bryan Yoz: The driving school is the kid’s favorite. It’s good opportunity to learn the traffic rules and the responsibilities with fun.
There are some other rides and attractions to explore in the Fun town, such as Fun Town Police and Fire Academy, DUPLO Playtown, Kid Power Tower, Rebuild the World, etc. kids can have lots of fun.
Oceanside Pier Amphitheater - Oceanside Pegasus Queen: Fun times at the beach. Beautiful day, lots of sun. Got my daughter an ice cream at the lil stand, & that was the icing on the cake. Always a positive experience at the beach!
Fireside Park - Oceanside Brianna McBride: Huge park! The kids loved it. Only two downsides, no bathroom and several dogs off leash which made me nervous as a I was by myself with two toddlers. No swings here either so if you have a little that loves to swing this is not the park for you.
Joseph Carrasco Park - Oceanside Jason Grasso: Perfect place to take your dog especially since its not a sought after park and is pretty much a giant grass area so dogs love it
LEGOLAND California - Carlsbad Carly Moreno: So much fun with a 4 year old!!! Went in early May so there was quite a bit closed for renovations and water rides were not open. Some parts were disappointing, but for the cheaper ticket price and low crowds, it still rocked for us! My son rode 15 rides, showcasing how kid friendly it is! I would say cap age is 8-10. It was peak for my 4 year old!!
Edit to add: the Hideaway playground is incredible. I, as an adult, had the best time playing with my son. If only one playground is on the agenda, save it for Hideaway! It’s also right next to the BBQ restaurant which was a great stop-eat-play area!!
Miniland USA - Carlsbad Nick S: Miniland USA is a walk through exhibit within LEGOLAND showcasing various landscapes and scenes from across the United States and other countries. We came here when they had a Star Wars exhibit as well, showcasing scenes from the movie.
The exhibits themselves are pretty nice looking, with large attention to detail as well as easter eggs located throughout each exhibit. There really isnt much to say, but its a great photo spot to take photos of and enjoyable for kids to look at.
Wave Waterpark - Vista Thao Adam “Exodus”: First time here today! It was a blast. The kids had a great time. Between the indoor pool and the outside water play area my kids had an all day adventure.
I really like how the indoor pool was GINORMOUS and I really liked how it was separated into 4 sections. There were PLENTY of space for everyone.
We loved it we will definitely be back!
