When my car needed a major repair that my local shop couldnt handle (due to their limited services), that shop recommended Dons Import Car Clinic. Right from that first experience, I have been hooked and started taking my car ONLY to Don. Because my car is 16 years and the mileage is getting high, Ive run into some significant issues, and Don gets it right the first time. With other shops, Ive had to take my car back repeatedly for the same issue, but not with Don. As a woman, Ive often felt that other shops "try to take advantage", but not Don. Hes honest, he explains my options clearly and he fixes it right the first time. I should also mention that I live 20+ miles from Dons shop so I need to rent a car while hes repairing mine. I dont mind the additional cost as it is completely worth it to drive the distance to have my car fixed properly and in a timely manner. Im thankful to my old shop for recommending him! I will not take my car to anyone but Don.

He repairs your car in your driveway, which for me as a mom of three was huuuuuge. He repaired my car, let my kids help explained the whole process to me and was cheaper than anyone else that had given me quotes. But thats not all. The next day when I got in my car it was acting a little funny, I called him pretty worried about it and he explained what it was and why it was acting the way it was and how it would sort itself out shortly. Then CAME BACK OUT TO REASSURE ME! He test drove it with me and waited until it was 100% better than it was before all for my piece of mind. It was a super common issue that he obviously knew would be totally ok but still went out of his way to make sure I felt safe. I could not be happier having him as a mechanic hes awesome.

Aaron Dal Poggetto: Took a 2020 Kia Optima in to diagnose/fix a passenger seat occupancy issue. They had the car all day, and called back saying they didn’t know how to fix the issue. They said it was the passenger seat occupancy sensor (which I already knew) but didn’t know where they could even get a sensor to replace it, let alone how to fix it. They charged me $185 to just unplug the sensor so the sensor wouldn’t go off while driving, as well as disconnecting the airbag in the process. We got absolutely scammed, and their advice was go to a junk yard and buy a whole seat. I bought a used sensor on EBay for $60 and re-plugged everything and it all works perfect with no issues. I would not recommend this place to anyone as we were scammed and we ended up fixing the issue ourselves using Google and EBay, while giving these people $185 for no help. Unbelievable.
