04-2025 Cut in The Best 14 Hair Salons in Hanford, CA (part 2) Salon Mia - San Diego A Universal Woman: Well worth the wait! I tried to book n an appointment before Easter but couldnt get in. And so I cut my own bands and messed up! Mia and her team were kind and Mia really understands hair. I basically asked her to make my hair look nice and after a few suggestions that I agreed to, she did her thing. She is caring and skilled. What else could I all for in a stylist?
Location is in the Godfather strip mall, so it was easy for me to find.
Green Anchor Luxury Hair Extensions Salon - San Diego Sharron Grzybowski: I recently moved to downtown SD and spent MONTHS researching and reviewing hair people (including asking everyone I ran into). Its almost funny how much time I spent researching it, because I didnt research a new eye doctor this hard!!
Brianna (Bri) was fantastic from the start - we texted a number of times before my appointment. Part of it was for my comfort level, but also I wanted to make sure that she was prepared for what she was getting into. :) Id been blue for 8-9 years and was ready to make the change to purple, but wasnt quite comfortable enough to have her use bleach or a color stripper just yet. She was kind and helpful and I was pleased she also uses the same product that my old gal used!
My visit was excellent. The salon is clean and very pretty, and well lit. The hair is all mine (also part of my concern when initially contacting her because the website almost made me think she only does extensions), its long and fine. Adding insult to injury, I was getting over a cold when I went to visit her. She handled me and my hair like a champ. She was friendly and talkative when I felt like it (which I really didnt, as talking made me cough). She asked questions about what hairbrush I used, questions about what my old gal did, and was great about listening and asking follow up questions.
I havent had a chance to wash it for the first time, yet, but its a product that Im familiar with so Im not worried about caring for it. I will return, and next time Ill be comfortable enough to ask her to bleach my roots.

The Glam Garage Salon - San Diego Theresa Foletta: I came and got my lashes and hair colored by Christina and Michelle they are so talented and amazing! I am so incredibly happy with how my lashes and hair turned out! If you’re looking for somewhere to refresh your look or try something new I highly recommend coming to the glam garage you’ll be in the best of hands with Christina and Michelle. I will definitely be coming back, they offer so many different services they have something for everyone
FIX Salon - San Diego K.L Melone: I called Luna and she had an opening so I went in and she did an amazing job! Cut off at least four inches and gave me soft bangs. Im so happy! Fix Salon is very intimate and cheerful. Luna is very mellow and intuitive. I recommend her highly! Im going back next week for highlights.
HS - San Diego Zen Nezha: it is my go to Salon for hair cut for curly hair ☺️
A Robert Cromeans Salon - San Diego Allison Rolfe: Mary always makes my hair look gorgeous. I’ve been going to the salon for years and I’ve never had a bad experience. I always come away feeling like a new person. I love the way she colors, cuts, and styles my hair. And the wash house experience is off the charts. I highly recommend without any hesitation!
Liv Ro Salon - San Diego Emily McGovern: If youre a professional working female who cares about your overall look, Helena is your hair guru! Walking into Liv Ro I immediately felt at home. From the music, to the lighting, to the beverages, Helena makes getting your hair cut a relaxing spa getaway. I had some understanding of what I wanted and she knew all the right questions to ask to deliver exactly what I liked!!! Will be back ASAP!
Portfolio Hair salon - San Diego Matthew Wirth: Highly recommend! Judy is a fantastic person and an expert at cutting hair. Going in, I had a general idea for what I wanted. Judy was able to turn my idea into a reality. This haircut is the best I have had.
Additionally, hanging out with Judy was the highlight of my day. Id go back just for her conversation and kindness.
Salon on 30th - San Diego Brianna: My haircut was great, but I had an extremely poor experience with my balayage. I requested a dark mushroom/cool toned brown and did NOT get that at all (pics shown of what I was given). I went back several times hoping she would be able to fix it but she never got it right. I stopped going back after the third or fourth time and several hundred dollars later. Not only that, but the stylist, Kassie, forgot who I was and talked crap about me, TO ME. I mentioned personal things in a previous appointment because she asked about it, and then in the next appointment she forgot who I was and said I was crazy, TO ME. When I called her out on it she said, "oh sorry I forgot who you were." Her haircut was good but would not recommend her other services. I went to a different salon and was able to get the exact style I wanted right away.
LET YOUR HAIR DOWN - San Diego Ryann Grenevitch: Alisa had been making my hair beautiful for 25 years. We began using extensions two years ago, and I will never go without. The installs are quick and easy and Alisa is extremely knowledgeable about the process and care. Love everything ♥️
