1 /5 Becky Dirickson: We loved this group until Dr Pachorek retired. Unfortunately, they have taken on more patients then they can handle. I had my kids with Conejo Childrens for 25 years, my youngest is in college and we were told she would remain in their care until she graduates. She has been suffering the last few days with a massive ear infection. She has had them in the past so she knows exactly what it feels like when she has one. She was sick with a virus for weeks prior and has an autoimmune disease that often causes her to develop infections. Shes also on an immune suppressant medication which Conejo Medical group has all records of. I called to see if they could send in an antibiotic for her to pick up as she is in back to back classes and in the middle of midterms and has no time to get to an urgent care. The office admin says they will not send in a prescription and when I ask to speak with a doctor a doctor refuses to call me back having the same office staff relay the message. Despite the fact that we have been there for 25 years and getting her on an antibiotic would mean the difference between buying her time and getting better or ending up in the ER. I am beyond disappointed at the lack of communication and support from the team of doctors who we have not only been loyal long time patients, but referred so many of our family and friends to in this community.
I am grateful for all the years we had with Dr Pachorek, and believe she was the last REAL pediatrician at Conejo Childrens Medical Center who really took any interest or care in her patients. Ill be picking up her records tomorrow morning and finding someone who truly cares about their patients well being and who can find the time to communicate. Im sad to think that after all these years, while both my kids have grown up in the care of this medical facility, the doctors couldnt even open her charts or call me back. Very disappointing
