1 /5 Smith Dorian: I am beyond disappointed and frustrated with the abysmal service and unprofessionalism I experienced at Classic Auto Body. My recent experience with this body shop has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to warn others to avoid this place at all costs.
Firstly, the technician, Christopher Porterfield, repeatedly refused to write supplements for damage related to my claim, despite both myself and the AAA insurance adjuster requesting it for weeks. His stubborn refusal caused significant delays in the repair process.
When he finally did perform the work, the quality was utterly subpar. The paint job on my door is so poorly done that it resembles the texture of a golf ball and can be seen from over 15 feet away. The plastic welds on the bumper are unacceptable, and the blending of undamaged parts was excessive. The inner fender liner was also installed poorly.
To make matters worse, additional damage was inflicted on my vehicle while it was in their custody. My brand new 10-point Bose speakers were blown out, the soft top was damaged, and the side skirt was not properly reinstalled. The interior of my car was beaten up and scratched, and parts that were previously undamaged now have visible damage.
Communication with Classic Auto Body was abysmal. My car was in the shop for over three months, and I never received any updates. I had to call them regularly to get any information. On one occasion, when I dropped by to check on my car, Christopher Porterfield claimed it was completed and threatened to charge me $600 for storage because I hadnt picked it up. However, the car still required additional repairs and remained in the shop for another month.
Moreover, my car was driven over 100 miles without any justified reason during its time at the body shop.
The unprofessional behavior exhibited by Christopher Porterfield was unacceptable. He yelled at me and berated me several times when I pointed out issues with his work. His insistence that the body kit was aftermarket and his overall lack of care and competence were infuriating.
I purchased my car brand new from Japan, customized with every option available. It was my dream car, and I took immaculate care of it. Now, thanks to Classic Auto Body, it is in a worse condition than before the repairs. It pains me to see my beloved car in this state.
I strongly advise anyone considering Classic Auto Body to steer clear. Their incompetence, unprofessionalism, and lack of accountability are appalling. Save yourself the headache and take your car to a reputable and trustworthy shop instead.
