1 /5 chelsea wong: Update: I visited another dental office, who informed me that I do not need crown filling. Which means Chua Family Dental was trying to sell me services I did not need. They milk their patients like cows for money. Stay away.

Absolutely a rip off, my first visit in February, I gave them my insurance info, and kept asking them to only do the services covered by my insurance. I later get a bill of $1200. Turns out they sold me a bunch of exams and casts and services that I didnt want.
Over the phone, I asked for the price for a deep cleaning, the reception quoted $600. I did some research before and knew that deep cleaning needs multiple visits to complete, so I ask if that price is total or per visit. She said its per visit. Turns out its per quadrant, so the total is actually $2400!!
My second visit in September, I went back for my routine cleaning, and to make a deal that I would like to pay for the services that was covered but I owe co-pay. After some negotiation we reached an agreement for the entire bill of the first visit. But I checked my insurance and see that the office submitted pre-authorization to my insurance for crown filling, which I absolutely did not ask for. Then dentist comes in, spent 5 minutes on my cleaning, pretty rough handed, and left. Did a terrible job, I can still feel the few surfaces he missed.
Misquoting prices and selling extra services are deceiving business malpractices, add the dismissive/passive-aggressive cleaning from the dentist - Im never coming back.
