5 /5 Debra Seward: Recently, my husband spent three weeks at Central Valley specialty Hospital. We had a good experience with the hospital , the staff and the nurses. I must say that they were very attended and checked on him and other patients quite often and cater to his every need. We had some issues with the insurance and needing to be transferred to a facility even farther away from us. I spoke with Ruth, which was the case manager and also the social worker Ashlee, Who facilitated the care that was needed and the equipment for him to be transferred to a hospital for further treatment closer to home. They had Hospice call me explain the process when we were ready for that as well as the doctor and a nurse practitioner who took extra care in making the transport back to Lodi from Modesto the easiest as possible . We are very grateful for the care that my husband received during his stay and would recommend this hospital for anyone needing long-term healthcare

5 /5 Juan Arellano: I been here a few times in this hospital do to my medical condition Im t12-t11 completed and I’m in here over a bed sore stage 4 and all I want to say is that all this nurses and cna’s are amazing but there’s 3 lady’s in special that are one of the kind beautiful human beings who are very professional 100% and amazing like ronita the best cna, she’s the lead at nite ,Desiree the Lvn and palwasha the nurse . I’m great full that I got to meet them during this time I’m in here . God bless them all. Thank u Central Valley u guys are like my family.:-).

1 /5 Ernest Lish: As a family member and an emergency contact to a patient at this hospital, Im extremely concerned for the welfare of my sister. I live out of state and call regularly for updates on my sister, however the problem is there is hardly ever a nurse available to talk to. When I do get lucky enough to talk to someone, I get little to no information except that shes sleeping, or the doctor would know more about that. Despite leaving several messages, the doctor has not once ever called me back. Shes been there for weeks already and not one phone call? If you have family in need of care, please dont send them to this place unless you really dont care how they are doing. You will get no answers. Also, she was transferred to this hospital and her personal belongings didnt come with her from the other hospital. They would not even make a phone call to make sure my sisters belongings made it to her.

4 /5 Raquel Medina: My dad has been hospitalized at Central Valley Specialty Hospital for 17 days. Before his transfer, we heard negative feedback from nurses and CNAs at Doctors Medical Center, as well as from friends in the healthcare industry familiar with this facility. Naturally, my family was apprehensive. However, our experience has been far better than expected. The care team—including an RN, LVN, CNA, RNA, and a Respiratory Therapist—has been incredibly attentive. They go above and beyond to meet both my dad’s needs and those of our family. The staff is patient, compassionate, and highly responsive, always answering our questions thoroughly. The doctors also respond within a reasonable timeframe. Since my dad is unable to speak, we ensure a family member is present during visiting hours to advocate for him. While I cant say whether the same level of attentiveness would be provided if he were alone, I do know that both my dad and our family have been treated exceptionally well. I want to recognize five outstanding individuals for their kindness, compassion, and attentiveness: ⭐ Gurmeet (RN) – She cared for my dad for about 5-6 days and went above and beyond to accommodate his needs and our familys requests. She was kind, nurturing, and had excellent customer service skills, making us feel safe and secure. She addressed my dad’s thrush with incredible timeliness and care—almost resolving it completely before a staffing change led to a lapse in treatment. ⭐ Bitu (RNA) – She has been with my dad since day one and is always sweet, friendly, and in a great mood. Her compassion and empathy stand out, and she ensures my dad gets his scheduled chair time three days a week. She is a breath of fresh air and makes us feel reassured about my dad’s care. ⭐ Anahi (CNA) – She has cared for my dad on multiple occasions and is incredibly nurturing, friendly and helpful. She ensures he is clean, bathed, shaved, and groomed, which we deeply appreciate. She treats him like family, which means the world to us. ⭐ Karin (CNA) – She has cared for my dad multiple times and has consistently been kind, compassionate, flexible and attentive. We were truly happy with her care. ⭐ Osora (LVN) – She worked with my dad once, but in that short time, she was able to build rapport with every family member present. She was exceptionally kind, nurturing, and compassionate. She even shared her personal experience with her mother’s hospitalization, which was similar to my dad’s, giving us renewed hope in his recovery. Her interpersonal and communication skills were outstanding. While our experience has been overwhelmingly positive, there are areas that could be improved. The hospital is notably understaffed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, leading to delays in care. We encountered one irritated worker on a Sunday, likely due to the staffing shortage, which stood out in contrast to the otherwise excellent service. Another challenge is the frequent rotation of RN, LVN, and CNA teams, making it difficult for staff to build familiarity with my dad’s needs. Additionally, my dad shares a room with two other patients, which isn’t ideal for privacy or comfort. Lastly, despite the facilitys age and older equipment, everything operates smoothly, and we have encountered no issues. Overall, despite our initial concerns, the staff has exceeded our expectations with their compassion and dedication. With improvements in weekend staffing, patient continuity, and accommodations, this facility could provide an even better experience.

5 /5 Sheila Lamm: I spent several weeks here. I miss it. I cried when left to go to rehab for leg work. Departure wasnt easy. I sit here at rehab middle of night once more thinking just how well that place is. 5 star rating. Special thanks to Olga, nurse along with Heather and Alex in rehab. Three of them really took time to comfort not just the body but mind and emotions. Miss you guys.
