1 /5 Anthony J. Ballamis: Waited over 2 months for an appointment (which is typical and out of their control), but then it was cancelled just a couple hours before on the morning of - twice. Both times citing "the system is down". However, the 2nd time, I wasnt called, I was only notified on their internal messaging system (which I obviously dont monitor, and this was an initial consult) and was turned away when I showed up. When I left I checked the message, and it again cited system being down, but when I was in the office, I was shown their computer screens to view the message & calendar - the system was very much working. Also, she even told me the doc just hadnt been there in 2 days.
Then for my 3rd attempt, I was actually in the hospital all night - for the very issues I had an appointment. I missed as the appt was early in the morning. When I came to reschedule they told me it would be over 3 more months out.
I can only speculate, but it seems either doctor entitlement and lack of respect for patients time, or the doc had a genuine issue and the staff just lied about the reason when they could have been honest but vague. Either way, total waste of time. Good thing Ive had enough experience with docs to double up and have an appt w another neurologist already.
