Then, unexpectedly, I had the opportunity to visit family and felt I couldnt show up with the lousy job I did on my own hair. Knowing I had to pass through Cathedral City, I researched salons in the area and Canyon Salon had great reviews. It was the Friday before Christmas. So I crossed my fingers and hoped Id get lucky. I did. John managed to fit me in the next day! When I arrived, I explained Id used box color only days before. From the professional salon formulas I had with me, and his skill and knowledge as a master colorist affording him the understanding the potential catastrophe of working with reds, he took great care in matching the color I wanted without causing damage. The color was gorgeous. Not only that, I showed him a photo of a new cut I wanted. He took into account my face shape, proportions, and hair type to make sure it worked for me. On top of everything else, John is a terrific conversationalist; warm and welcoming. I highly recommend Canyon Salon and will definitely return when my travels bring me back to Cathedral City.
