Redbud Trailhead - Clearlake Oaks Amber Bloodsworth: First half of the trail is in direct sunlight, then after that there’s a nice path in between bushes and trees. Well maintained path. A couple of miles in there’s a nice river. There are a lack of signs along the trail. There was a fork in the road at one point with arrows both ways, but nothing saying what the arrows mean.

Riverside Park - Susanville Dale Maynor: Very clean, seems very safe, lots of shade and the Susan river runs by the trail in this small park with a green lawn and tables and benches and a playground. Seems like families come here on the weekends and its a pleasant atmosphere to bring children.
Peter Lassen Grave - Susanville cheryl Black: The story behind this site is really great to hear! I loved seeing this place. So full of history for our area.
Susanville Ranch Park - Susanville Robert Csepcsanyi: Cool bike/ hime trails with scenic views , the Ponderosa trees strongly scenting of the place making it very exciting to ride into…
California Science Center - Los Angeles Charly Aldebs: This place is a must-see if you’re taking a trip to LA!‼️ First, it’s free to the public (aside from the $20 parking fee for the day), and second, you’ll enjoy exploring science and human evolution over the last century. Plus, your kids will love it! There are plenty of science games and interactive learning experiences. It usually takes about two to three hours to see everything. There’s also a food court inside, as well as an IMAX theater (which isn’t free—you’ll need to pay separately to watch a movie).
Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County - Los Angeles Rachel Sala: I go here regularly to draw bones and animals and gems; I always have a blast. Staff is always super knowledgeable and helpful, (shout out to Tony who does a lot of the live animal demonstrations at 3 pm!) I always feel welcome and other staff have gone above and beyond in answering some questions. I love this museum!!!
Santa Monica Pier - Santa Monica Anjo: This is one of the most beautiful places I have been to . Santa Monica Pier has tons of stuff to do, restaurants to eat and plenty of stuff to shop. We came here as tourists because it was really iconic and we had relatives that live nearby. It was a fun day to roam and share good times with family and friends as well if you are on a date this place is great too.
I highly recommend tourists to come visit this place.
Griffith Observatory - Los Angeles Christina Gleason: Parking was a nightmare, and though theres no entry fee, we essentially paid $60 to get in as parking fees. We had to drive around the mountain several times before an accessible parking space opened up, as street parking was completely inaccessible with the climb and no sidewalks for wheelchair users.
However, once inside, we had an amazing time. We attended all the free talks and demonstrations, and we paid for two planetarium shows. The staff members were talented and knowledgeable, and I was happy to realize that more presentations were given by disabled staff members than not.
The only inaccessible thing was the old telescope, which was obviously built before anyone ever considered that anyone would need to get up there in a wheelchair. But since I am an ambulatory wheelchair user, my husband carried my chair up the three steps to get in while I used my cane to get up them. Other visitors were kind enough to let me go ahead of them, and I used my cane to climb the several steps to look through the old telescope. If you are unable to navigate a few stairs, unfortunately you wont be able to do this. But everything else is completely accessible, and staff members were happy to get us in and out of elevators for planetarium access.
We had a wonderful day at the Observatory. I highly recommend it to people of all ages and abilities. Check their programming schedule online ahead of time to best plan your visit!
Paramount Pictures Studio Tour - Los Angeles Patrick Min: We had an incredible 2-hour weekday tour, which was a fantastic experience. We learned a wealth of behind-the-scenes stories and the rich history of Paramount Pictures Studio. With four tour options available, the 2-hour tour perfectly fit our schedule and was worth it. Our tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and informative, and her enthusiasm for the movie industry was contagious. Despite the windy and rainy weather, we truly appreciated the comfort of the cart.
The tours highlights were remarkable, including walk-throughs of sound stages and visits to the sets of popular TV shows like Matlock, starring Kathy Bates as Madeline “Matty” Matlock, and The Rookie. We especially loved exploring the Prop Warehouse at the end of the tour, where we saw an array of fascinating props from iconic movies! This tour was indeed a memorable experience.
