Julio Chavez: Stopped here with our 2 children mid December 2024. The playground was clean and functional. Has slides, see-saw, and swings. Some of the spinning playground equipment needs new bearings or grease, but theres plenty to do even without those. Our children, ages 3 and 7 really enjoyed their time here. I only got a full picture of the small playground, but there is a bigger one with a scavenger hunt. The waterpad was not available during the winter time. As mentioned by others, there were people who seemed a bit off, but they kept to themselves and just seemed to be making use of the facilities.
Mr. OhEmGee: We had an awesome time here doing "What Happened at Hawthorne?" which was a perfect balance of challenging and spooky. Alex and Mike were excellent hosts and I couldnt recommend them more. We enjoyed it so much we came back later at night for a second room!
Its Bakersfields answer to the rooms down in LA. Keep up the great work and thanks for the great night!
Megan Moon Vidrio: Loved it splash pad was awesome way better then the one in porterville stopped here with my daughter while door dashing we very much enjoyed it
Daniela Sandoval: My daughter loved the fact that there were two separate playgrounds. She was able to play on both due to there not being many people on that day. However I would recommend trying to keep young and older kids in their specific section to ensure safety.
M Ne: Its not a common sight to see water in the kern river going through Bakersfield, but 2023 is the year. This is an enjoyable park. Trails to walk, river banks to look at the river, children play grounds for kids, as well as close to restaurants in nearby shopping center
Allie C: Went to this park for an Easter Egg hunt hosted by North of the River and the kids loved it. We have been to this park multiples times and it is in a safe area, the playground is well set up, and the picnic area is under a shade structure.
We will go back in the future and recommend to friends and family who live nearby.
Sonny Contreras: Not the most family safe environment. Enough homeless to make you a bit squirmish and a few "up to no good" individuals. Good for basketball games and soccer pick ups but stay in your toes. Dont leave anything of value laying around.
Good vibes when your there for pick up games like most parks but other then that I wouldnt picnic here.
Clayton Evans: Ive been going to Stiern Park for over 20 years to exercise early in the morning and hoop later on in the evening. Ill be done hooping around 9:30 pm i used to live on Nicki Court. Its been 8 years since i played ball here i just got done practicing my long range and I STILL GOT IT!!!
