1 /5 Daddy D: The Skinny: Friendly full service hair salon. But, after receiving the worst chemical burns ever, in about 4 yrs of having my hair bleached and also possibly being low-balled after asking for a refund. I could not go back nor recommend.
The rest of the Story: I really wanted to like this place. I needed my hair Re-bleached. So after calling many other places and getting an answering machine, I called this one and received a friendly welcoming voice saying I could come in right away. The first impressions were good and they started on my hair right away. After the first bleaching. My hair had some spots that needed touched up. This is where it went VERY wrong. The lady doing my hair, increased the developer strength, which isnt itself out of the norm. However, not checking it for over ten minutes is. I was asked how I was doing, "I replied its hot!". At this point it was busy and she was performing a haircut. She said she would be with me in a moment and continued with the cut. Finally the other lady who I believe is the owner took over. By this time I was visibly distressed and head was on fire!! When she put the toner on it burned even more which I thought was strange. After I left, about ten minutes later I felt something on my neck. It was a puddle of seepage from one of the chemically burned areas. The picture shown are some of the areas about an 1hr later
I went back the next day and explained what happened to the lady that I believe is the owner, and asked for my money back $65. She said she could only do $40 of it. I was not looking to break her bank, I just wanted there to be some penalty for what was done. I accepted and signed a waiver against any further persecution. Everyone Ive told says I should have received at the minimum a full refund. What do you think?
