3 /5 Z Fox: Alyssa is very friendly, but a few weeks ago I walked away with just an okay haircut. She thinned my thick, wavy, lush hair pretty aggressively so now the ends look sparse and sort of wispy. The only upside is now my hair is way easier to dry. Im going to have to go to another salon and just get a new haircut and remove a lot more length than I wanted to because all the body of my hair is gone from the ends. And despite all that thinning to reduce weight, my hair doesnt move any better, its just flatter, and because of all the thinning shear usage, I now have an insane amount of frizzy fly-aways coming out of even freshly braided hair. Agree with other reviewer that she runs two clients at once. The atmosphere of the salon isnt very uplifting and after I left I noticed my shirt smelled like feet/dog. (There was a large dog there).

1 /5 Stephanie Pfeiffer: I would give Alyssa 0 stars if I could. My last hair appointment with her was absolutely traumatizing. It was about 6 months ago now and my hair is still fried and breaking constantly. I have since seen 2 top hair professionals in Carmel and they have done all they could but had to chop off the majority of my hair (which was more than halfway down my back when I first went to Alyssa) given the extensive damage. The day that I came in for an appointment, I had come in wanting ombré, which she had done about a year prior to my hair. She ended up putting full highlights in. When I asked why she was starting from the top of my head she said it would look better. I told her I didn’t want it streaky, I just wanted the Ombré. She assured me it would look better and continued. She then put me under a red light and let it sit for about 45 minutes while she sat on her computer. When she came back to check on my hair she instantly pulled me over to the sink to wash it out. She told me she was giving me a treatment that would normally cost $10 extra but would be free that day. When I sat back down in the chair I ran my fingers through my hair and clumps of WHITE hair started coming out. It was literally stringy and soft and just falling out. All I had to do was lightly pull and it would break apart. It was horrible. A living nightmare, to be honest. When I asked her what she was going to do, she ended up giving me a quick hair cut and blow drying my curly hair. She then charged me $165! I was shocked. My young daughter was with me so I just paid and left. I regret that now given the amount of money I have had to dish out to save my hair. I hope people read this and find another stylist that’s more qualified and professional in order to avoid this kind of experience.

2 /5 Christy Teller: Always a rushed experience. Shes a nice person, but books multiple people and is scrambling to do both at the same time. Shampoo chairs are so uncomfortable and the quality of products are poor and drying. Cut is inconsistent and she does not do what is requested. Not a good value at all. There are much better stylists!

5 /5 Jackie Szesty: Alyssa is the best! My family and I have been going to her for years. When we bring in a photo of what we want she always nails it. She takes her time to make sure it’s right and she’s very affordable. Highly recommend!
