5 /5 Ini Li: I dont usually post reviews but I have to for Mako at Arty Hair! Ive been going to Mako for my regular haircuts for several years now. I never had a regular hair stylist until her. Mako always gives me a consistent hair style for my thick, wavy hair just how I like it. Luckily I was seeing her for a haircut a few weeks before my wedding at City Hall and realized I had no idea of what to do with my hair. I asked Mako if she could style my hair and all I can say is, wow. She came up with a hair style that felt true to me and it stayed in place all day. Shes already a little hard to book (Im a last-minute kind of girl) so writing this review poses the risk that she will be even harder to book but I just had to write this glowing review. Im sure the other stylists at Arty are wonderful too!

1 /5 Ru7dy: I booked an appointment and got canceled last minute by the salon because they want to magically serve another client at the same time. Would not recommend this place to people looking for a simple haircut since they will prioritize other more valuable customers over you.

5 /5 Kristina Solomita: I had been wanting to get bangs but I didn’t know where to look. My friend suggested looking for stylists in the bay, and this was one of the highly recommended ones. I had never gone to a salon like this before and wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was a pleasant surprise for me and my friend nonetheless. The staff was immediately very welcoming and friendly. They sat us down and we came to a quick understanding of what styles we were going for. We got our hair shampooed and heads massaged. During the hair cuts I immediately noticed how dedicated the stylists were at paying attention to every trim, and it looked better each time they did something new. At the end I got my hair styled as shown, and was even given another courtesy massage. Will definitely be looking forward to coming here again for a future perm!

1 /5 Eliza Wu: didnt want to write this because they refunded me but I have to share my experience if it will help others I went for a root touch up (bleach and tone) for a beige blonde look and walked out with bands of black, orange, and yellow. I spent the next day in another salon where they had to bleach my hair again and now half of my hair is gone and tons of it has snapped off. yes Im glad they refunded me but my hair has gone through irreversible damage because of the bad experience at arty.

5 /5 Yingfei Xie: I got a long bob cut from Kyoko and it looked so cute and neat! The price was very reasonable compared to some other salons for a women’s cut and service was both efficient and thorough.
