I had an ultrasound to check on my thyroid. I called the office 3 weeks after the ultrasound because they never reached out to let me know the results. Connie told me that Doctor Shende left a note for them to call me and let me know that my ultrasound showed some suspicious nodules and that she referred me to a specialist, but they never called to let me know. As bad as it sounds a month has passed after my ultrasound and I still can’t get an appointment with a specialist because they can’t find my name on the healthcare provider portal. Maggie told me to call Optum but when I called them, Optum told me that the Doctors office has to call them to have the patients name uploaded to the portal. They’re telling the patients to call Optum when they’re the ones who need to call them.
Its very frustrating. Her customer service doesn’t care about the patients. If you want to know anything about your test results, you have to call them because they won’t. They will just tell you that they will call you back, and hang up the phone call without giving you a chance to talk and never call you back.
