5 /5 Stephanie Bilodeau: This place and the people in it save precious lives everyday. My mother has spent many nights in facilities like these as someone with a severe mental illness. This one was different. It was compassionate. The doctors were caring and invested in helping her get better with the right treatment and medications. It’s a fine balance trying to figure out what each individual person needs — and the doctors and staff from the recreational therapists to the people who brought her the socks with the sticky bottoms each day — helped her feel safe and cared for. Surprisingly, she said the food wasn’t bad at all.
