5 /5 John Ward: Safe and fun atmosphere for kids. Every time we are in Santa Barbara we stop here each day, our kids love this place. Very large area for kids to run around. It is all contained inside of small gates, so a little less anxiety when they are out of sight for a little bit.

5 /5 Henry Farkas: Alameda Park is adjacent to the Alice Keck Park. The Keck covers one square block. The Alameda covers two square blocks, but the two parts of the Alameda Park are quite different from each other. The part of the Alameda Park thats adjacent to the Keck Park has picnic areas and a great 3 dimensional playground for young children. The other square block of the Alameda Park has a fenced-in bandstand, a few benches, grass and trees. Its well maintained. Some of the trees look like theyre older than the Park. This section of the park is frequented mainly by homeless or homeless adjacent folks. At least, thats the way it was the day I was there.

Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Sea Center - Santa Barbara

Jessica Catalan: It felt small, but the kids got so into the experience, we spent an hour and a half there! They have touch pools and specimen collection on the bottom floor, the kids literally pulled up buckets of "sea pork" and other sea life to study under microscopes! The top floor had tanks, and a room where they could simulate swimming under water. And of course, the kinetic sand was a huge hit! I enjoyed the views from the top floor and the staff that clearly love what they do there. We will be back!

1000 Steps Beach - Santa Barbara

It was not bad though If you are just tried of the familiar environment, and want get-away in not a far distance. 1000 Steps Beach in Santa Barbara is a secluded and picturesque spot perfect for those seeking tranquility and natural beauty. Despite its name, the beach is accessed via a steep staircase with fewer than a thousand steps, but the descent adds to its charm and sense of adventure. The beach itself is a serene stretch of sand, bordered by dramatic cliffs and the soothing sound of crashing waves. It’s ideal for relaxing, beachcombing, or catching a quiet sunset. Low tide reveals tide pools teeming with marine life, making it a favorite for nature lovers. Keep in mind, amenities are minimal, and the steep climb back up requires some effort. However, the peaceful atmosphere and stunning scenery make it well worth the trip for those who appreciate a more private coastal experience.

Casa de la Guerra - Santa Barbara

Federico Salvati: Casa de la Guerra is located in the historical center of Santa Barbara, among other buildings from the Spanish domination. Its open to the public and you can walk inside for free. I recommend to take a look if you are in the area because the place is really rich of history.

Lori: This is such a beautiful park. It’s small, but it has so many different types of wildflowers and trees. There’s even a pond with lots of mallard ducks, and some turtles. There’s a gazebo and several park benches for you to rest. Across the street is an enclosed playground for children. It’s quite large and clean.
