Stephanie Lau That was one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. It was seasoned so beautifully. The Mac and cheese and corn bread were also top-notch! I’m definitely coming back soon.

Daisy Callejo Such a great surprise! My boyfriend and I made reservations for an early dinner. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by staff. They were very attentive and helpful. Items on the menu are meant to be shared, so every dish was split between the two of us. We brought our own bottle of wine ($30 corkage) and it paired well with our meal. We all definitely come back!

Luke Miles Yoshis is a standout when it comes to authentic Japanese cuisine. From the moment you enter, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The decor is sleek yet cozy, offering the perfect environment for both casual meals and special celebrations. The menu at Yoshi’s is packed with options, but the sushi is what truly shines. The fish is always incredibly fresh, and each piece is prepared with attention to detail. Whether youre enjoying a classic California roll or a more adventurous specialty roll, you can taste the quality in every bite. For sashimi lovers, the selection is extensive and always perfectly sliced. Aside from sushi, Yoshis also offers a variety of other Japanese dishes, like ramen and teriyaki, that are equally impressive. The service is top-notch—attentive but never overbearing, and the staff is knowledgeable about the menu, always ready to offer recommendations. If youre a fan of Japanese food, Yoshis should definitely be on your radar. The combination of amazing food, great atmosphere, and excellent service makes it a must-visit spot. Whether youre a sushi aficionado or new to Japanese cuisine, you’ll leave Yoshi’s feeling satisfied and eager to return!

Edgar Ivan Paredes Hernandez We went there for a lunch, party for 7, celebrating the wedding of my sister in law. The food was great and the atmosphere was great, but the most important part there was a issue and my mother in law was very disappointed, but they really make it happen, they were very good solving the issue and all the family was very happy. For me that kind of things matters more. 100% recommended

Claire Mizutani Went to lunch here with my mom and we shared two dishes. I order one of the season specials the Macximus Mac with no breadcrumbs and our server recommended that my mom get their Kogi Short Rib Mac. For both of them we got gluten free noodles and they had a fantastic texture. The servings were generous so we had lots of leftovers. They reheated well in the toaster oven.

V W Excellent food and service. Perfect scenic view and lovely live jazz piano playing. It’s such a gem in the waterfront of Oakland Jack London area. Watching the water taxi ferrying between Alameda and Oakland was quite interesting. Food- clam chowder was tasty and creamy , I could go for another cup. Raw oysters from British Columbia were fresh and sweet. The house made sauces were great pairing with the oysters. Rockerfella oysters and fish and chips were also fantastic. Crispy and not too salty. Fish was juicy inside with sufficient temperature heat. The string fries were very good. Blue cheese Romain salad with bacon were crisp and delicious. Overall very satisfying meal in a beautiful sunny afternoon .

Felix Connor The new spot for the famous Home of Chicken and Waffles is smaller, but also boasts a full liquor license and the same incredible food as always. Everyone here is kind and thoughtful, the service is top notch (warm towels at the end??? Amazing), and the food is phenomenal. Always always worth the wait.

Patrick Wong If youre an affogato fan, then Muas the place for you. Only a few places in the east bay that does it right and Mua is one of them! 1 lb rib eye, medium rare, is my go to here, not the best, but good enough to satisfy any carnivore craving! Friendly and attentive wait staff. Parking sucks unfortunately, street parking only and its luck of the draw.

Cassie Smith Good spot if you want regular breakfast/brunch food with a twist. I got the grits with a poached egg and an iced matcha. Both were great. We sat at the bar on a Friday morning. The place was kicking but not too loud.

Fish Head Decent quality German food in a cool location right by the water. We tried the Wiener Schnitzel and a snack plate. The schnitzel was good. It came with fries and a little container of applesauce. The snack plate was a pretty good option if you want to try a bunch of different things. Pickled egg and veggies with a piece of salami type cured sausage,a pate style meat, a cheese spread and their addictive spicy nuts. Oh, and a baked pretzel! Service was pleasant and fast.

Jeremias Ibanez Had lunch here with my sister and we shared the steak and eggs which both were cooked to perfection! Came with a side of smashed home style potatoes which were crispy on outside and soft inside! Also had a side of the garlic knots which were okay but a good snack! Beer flights was affordable and perfect and pineapple mimosa was delicious! Would definitely be back. Also close to lake Merritt so beautiful for an afternoon or evening outing.

Ivan Jiang 4.8/5 It was such a delight to eat at the Fat Lady! I’ve been meaning to try it for the longest time as I’ve heard it is a must try Oakland establishment. The food was outstanding - we ordered the steamed mussels and the hot spinach salad as our appetizer. Each of us also got the prime rib plate that’s available on Fridays and saturdays as our entrees. All the flavors and seasonings were done perfectly! I also enjoyed the boulevardier cocktail that was very similar to the traditional Negroni. Finally, I cannot appreciate enough how they got the doneness of our prime rib steak correct! Medium rare is truly medium rare here, and we did not have to send it back to the kitchen. The portion was extremely generous and the service was impeccable. Regarding the restaurant ambience itself, we were lucky to still dine in the Christmas/ festive decor! The restaurant is super charming and had an eclectic curation of vintage art pieces. Highly recommend this if you ever need a date night.

David Smith Good option for a quick meal, and I mean quick seriously. From order till I got my food was likely less than 4 minutes. I went with the 4 piece fried chicken with side salad, splitting the flavors on the chicken between BBQ(sauce) and General Tso(dry rub). Of the two the BBQ I personally preferred more, the flavor was deeper and the slight spice to it added more, it had a slight crisp but not as significantly as the the General Tso due to the dry rub. The general Tso was good as well and had a better crisp but the flavor was as exciting. The interior of the restaurant was a bit dim which is easier on the eyes but made my pictures come out a little dark. Not much else to say, happy with good fried chicken

Vrutika Premani Millennium Restaurant in Oakland offers an excellent vegan dining experience. We loved the flavorful starters and well-crafted main courses. Desserts were just okay, but the cozy ambiance and overall quality made it a very enjoyable meal.
