3 /5 Byron Pipkin: Nice restaurant but I was disappointed in some aspects – here’s the rundown:
Good stuff – the staff is friendly and attentive, the décor and ambiance is very nice, the Garden Bounty (salads) were very good (the Butter Lettuce & Roast Lamb was large enough to be a main course for some), very good Halibut dish ($42), Mac & Cheese ($16)
Needs improvement – corkage fee is $35………ridiculous, especially for Auburn; my $75 NY strip steak was bland and overcooked – I ordered Medium and got Medium well, and it was sliced….why??? This isn’t Peter Lugers in NYC. Entrees served only with garnish items, side dishes are $12-$16 (how about a free scoop of mashed potatoes with the $75 steak?)

A lot of noise in the room where we sat
I saw the menu in December (photo I posted) that had a 28 oz Rib eye for $78 but it was off the menu when we ate there in early January, 2026, replaced by a waygu steak dish (I think it was 28 oz for $128).
Overall, $288 for 4 people before tax & tip………..steaks are overpriced and mine was mediocre at best. I probably won’t come back to the restaurant but will go to the Lounge (downstairs bar, with food; nice ambiance also).
