5 /5 Arthur Nguyen: tldr:
come here for a nice date night, anniversary, bday, etc. foods a little pricey but worth it due to the beautiful interior, cozy vibe, decent portions, and pretty solid food
food:
Appetizers:
Artichoke soup (5.5): very standard nothing fancy and smaller portion intended for one person (share-ability: not recommended)
Baked Brie (9): Really well balanced dish. The green slimy texture might throw some people off but it provides great flavor. it tastes sweeter with a bit of acidity. bread is perfectly buttery and crispy. pastry in the middle is like a brie filled croissant.
Mains:
Bolognese Tonight’s special Pasta (6.5): It’s a decent serving + good flavor but it won’t blow you away. pretty standard and done well. it also comes with some garlic bread which is almost too crispy/crunchy.
Honey Glazed Pork Chop (8.7): Very solid dish. good portions and amazing flavors. I was given crabapples to replace Brussel sprouts and they weren’t my favorite. the seeds in the middle gave an unpleasant hard texture. the mashed potatoes are smooth and have great flavor. they honesty surprised me and were very good. the pork chop had a great sear and tons of flavor. the sauce creates a nice sweet, savory flavor and the pork was cooked perfectly tender.
Dessert:
Jack Daniel’s Mud Pie (7.2): Coffee, Toffee, Chocolate what’s not to love. the whiskey chocolate sauce is quite strong so be aware. it would be awesome with some tea as the chocolate gets a bit much.
Anniversary Truffles (6.5): Very very smooth and pretty dense. tons of flavor in one little ball and it’s pretty hard to eat alone. with a little ice cream it would be chef kiss.
