4 /5 John Smith: The inside decor and set up of this place is nice and comfortable. I took my dad here for his 90th bday because he loves oysters. I researched ADA access in advance and it seemed to accommodate but onsite its very tight navigation. Tables and seats on the patio partially blocked the wheelchair access route. Some diners werent pleasant or accommodating about moving. Also parking is difficult if busy. Very small shared lot and tight and limited street parking. We were fortunate because we had an early reservation but when we left cars were stacked on the adjacent street waiting for space. Physical mobility and parking loses this place a star. The food and service were otherwise good. Met our expectations. The prices are pricey but we knew that and didnt mind since it was for my dads experience. It would be tough to make this a regular dining experience due to cost. Otherwise the shellfish was fresh, but their Cesar salad was a bit overdressed, the presentation was very good and 3 of us left feeling satisfied. Only bummer was my dad was not offered a bday treat, they dont really do that I guess.

5 /5 Shaun Young: Queen’s Raw Bar & Grill is a charming take on a Southern seafood and raw bar. The space is beautiful and the service friendly. Standouts were the fresh oysters, grilled artichokes, fried code sandwich and passion fruit sundae. Friendly dogs are welcome on the patio. It’s a perfect afternoon spot, or evening date spot.

5 /5 Linda McLoon: This is a lovely restaurant serving predominantly seafood on York Street in Highland Park in L.A. The restaurant is on the small side, but they have a nice amount of outdoor seating. We shared a number of starters. The shrimp cocktail was fresh and nice, the hush puppies were moist with a lovely dipping sauce, and the artichokes were nicely cooked. They have oysters on the half shell as well. The she crab soup was tasty, but lacked the roe that makes it pink. Maybe this is hard to find in L.A. I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were nicely cooked, and the accompanying sauce on the grits had a nice flavor. It was a good version of this classic southern dish. The fish in paper was excellent, and the fish varies from day to day. The chicken portion was huge, but it was delicious. The fries were nicely cooked also. I really liked the passion fruit caramel sundae, and it was big enough to share. They only serve beer and wine, as well as non- alcoholic beverages, at the moment. The service was excellent, and they were super good about having things for children to color .

2 /5 yousef: The name suggests a regal command, yet the kitchen has an unfortunate knack for missing the mark. This is an overpriced place with detached service and uninspired hospitality. I began with a half dozen oysters, split between two different kinds. The oysters themselves were ok at best, and arrived on a platter that gave no hint of the raw bar excellence their name advertises. The queen street salad should’ve been a pile of fresh greens, but instead it was an afterthought. The shrimp and grits. Good grits, flavorful enough shrimp, but the choice to serve the shrimp with their heads, eyes and tentacles still attached felt like a miscalculation, a small but jarring detail that speaks for itself. The fried fish sandwich sinks quickly, and lacks the crispy exterior that makes a great sandwich. The bread was unremarkable, and the lettuce was bland. Then came the pimento cheeseburger, the true undoing. It was a catastrophic failure. It smelled like a mistake and tasted even worse. One bite was enough before I sent it away. Easily one of the worst restaurant burgers I’ve had in Los Angeles. A disappointing parade of below-average ingredients. If youre looking for a great seafood experience in LA youll find plenty of exceptional options, just not here.
