5 /5 Tom Ho: If you live in Hollister you know this new Pho/Milk Tea establishment is a BIG deal! If you visit Hollister you will soon realize being in town 15 mins there is not much of a selection in food options. Check out Pho Nha if you are craving authentic Pho outside of San Jose it will not disappoint. As a long time San Jose Vietnamese resident, moving here is the biggest challenge for one to get used to is the dining options let alone Vietnamese cuisine Abundant is your run of the mill tacos, brunch cafes, pizza and major fast food chains nothing to right home about, however Pho Nha is that one stands out, from its homage to Vietnam you will be greeted with Vietnamese decor, with that alone is a good sign as to what offerings they have. On the soft opening wife ordered the grilled pork vermicelli and I ordered the pho dac biet (special combo) with an order of beef ribs, because why not? Broth was one of the best I had in a long time, all the right hints of the old world flavors, which immediately transported me back to our trip to VN. Proper fresh herbs as condiments were all present. The grilled pork vermicelli, on point no cutting corners. For refreshments it is a very nice selection not too much not too little imo it was just right. Order the iced Vietnamese coconut coffee, this was refreshing option as many Viet restaurants do not offer this, it’s a nice switch up to the basic cafe sua da variety. Overall food was spectacular, drinks very good and the staff is very personable, checking on us at the right intervals. It’s safe to say this town looks promising for future eateries. There are 2 other “Vietnamese” establishments in town, yes 2 but in my opinion the others do not come close at all. For us we have found a place we do not need to drive to San Jose to get the flavors we are used to, which is so convenient. Keep up the great food and service Pho Nha! Thank you for planting your roots in Hollister.
