5 /5 Tim Balen: A perfect fine dining experience in Long Beach. Everything from the drinks and food, to the presentation and service, was immaculate. It is a small mid-century modern dining room in the former Century City Motel on 3rd Street in Long Beach, close to public parking.
We enjoyed all the tastings, from the Crudo to the octopus to the bread with cultured butter, and the bass was also excellent. Another highlight was the Apple Tarte Tarin, which was divine with the Carmel and whipped cream. All the sauces and food tasted fresh and well-made.
The prices are comparable to other date night and fine dining restaurants, so while high are expected and not out of the ordinary.
There is also an outdoor seating area in the interior next to the pool, which is where the bathroom is (even the bathroom was kept very clean and we were pleased to see was also stocked with tampons).
We would definitely go back and try some of the cocktails and mussels.
