3 /5 Ernie Hernandez: Ive got to say, I dont know that I have ever given a place three stars across the board. I had eaten here months before, and didnt have a strong recollection of it. Perhaps this is why.
They were quick to bring out chips and salsa. The salsa was spicy but lacked flavor, and the chips, though seemingly made in-house, were made many, many hours before my arrival.
The pork in my chili verde was fork tender, but again, had no real flavor. It was a perfect match for the blah beans and rice. The margarita, on the other hand, was mostly sweet margarita mix.
When I asked for the check with food still on my plate, the server didnt even ask if I wanted a to-go container. Perhaps she got the sense that I would have said no.
This is why I started writing these reviews many years ago. So I could look at it at some future point to see if a place was worth revisiting. I have to say that I dont know that Ill be back.
