5 /5 Cyndi Wheeler: We had a wonderful meal and the service is wonderful, and its so nice inside. The food was delicious. We couldnt find anything wrong, we loved every bit of it. We had the steak and shrimp fajitas, and there was plenty to share and take home. We also ordered the guacamole. Their chips and salsa, were delicious, too.

5 /5 AH: We were on our way back to LA and would like to have some late lunch so we researched on google map and found this Mexican restaurant with great reviews in Bakersfield and decided to try. We arrived at 3pm on Saturday and it’s still pretty busy. We aren’t familiar with Mexican cuisine and the waiter recommend us some seafood dishes and served us the complimentary chips and salsa. The wait was like 15mins to 20 mins because there was an event they were helping but the waiter’s service is great and he came back to check on us few times. The two dishes we ordered are delicious and the food is filling. Mariscos al Ajillo is really good with good amount of seafood and it’s not too spicy. The Molcajetes in stone pot is a fun presentation and the flavor is on the heavier side. We have a great experience in this restaurant and will recommend to try it out if you pass by Bakersfield.

5 /5 Melissa Gordon: Met a couple of girlfriends for a little Donner and girl time before the holidays take over our time.The service from the moment I walked in was great, we never waited for anything. Everyone looked busy, working, laughing with guest celebrating birthdays and the atmosphere was nice not to loud so we could still visit. . We all had a great meal, I personally had chicken fajitas so yummy chicken had a great flavor . At our table there was also a fajita salad Wow ill order this next time looked really good and . Lol our waiter was great and we shared fried icecream in the end.Tonight wasnt a cocktail night but the ones we could see all looked good. Our meals didnt seem expensive compared to other locations. Looking for a good family night or girls evening out this is a great place.

4 /5 Afshin Afshar-Ghasemlou: A Seafood Oasis in Bakersfields Ice House I was returning to San Francisco, and on my way through Bakersfield, I decided to take some extra time for lunch. Looking online for a new place to try, I found La Costa Mariscos an interesting option. The restaurant is in a historic brick building called the Ice House. It serves hacienda-style Mexican food, and the menu is rich with fish and seafood. When I got there, the place was packed. The hostess asked me if I wanted to sit at the bar, and I said yes. I had no idea what to order, so I asked the waitress, a charming young lady, to suggest something. She hesitated, so I asked for her favorite and assured her I was not a picky eater. She suggested something Colorado; I am unsure if it was Chili Colorado or something else, but I wanted it with the "steak" option, not chicken. While waiting for my meal, I looked around. The building is spacious and fascinating, and the interior is colorful and friendly. My lunch was so delicious, and I was so pleased that I ordered one to go. While waiting, I indulged in my favorite Mexican dessert, flan! I left the Ice House with a full belly and fully satisfied with my choice. The place is beautiful, the service is excellent, and the food is delicious.

2 /5 Anna Rogers: Paid $8.00 per taco, definitely not an $8 taco experience. Bought 6 Tacos and spent 58.00!!!! These were plain, unseasoned, and lacking in flavor. The tortillas were forgettable, and the overall execution felt rushed and bland. Sadly, hunger won over judgment, and we ended up with subpar tacos at premium prices. Honestly, Jack in the Box tacos might’ve been a better choice and that’s saying something.
