2 /5 Julie S: This was my second and last time to this very overpriced place.
From the minute I walked into this old dreary place I could smell bathroom cleaner. We had a table of 14 with one server which wasn’t bad except the poor guy had to take care of the rest of the room also.
Orders were messed up, items that others at the table didn’t order were added to checks, one person never got her salad and another one never got her soup. Someone was able to order the French dippers which were cold and they did not taste fresh.
I ordered the Calamari Fritti which was the best I ever had. My friend enjoyed her lamb chops and another enjoyed her fried shrimp.
Never once did the manager come around to see how everything was and maybe help the server out a little. Dirty plates were piling up on the table so one of my friends go up and started bussing the table. While 3 people stood behind the hostess station, which included the manager.
They ran out of mint glaze for the lamb chops, offered chimichurri sauce and we were told when the server came back they ran out of that too! Another friend asked for tartar sauce and they told her they ran out of that too.
How does a restaurant run out of 3 sauces on a Saturday night at 6:00, who’s doing the ordering? All they had to do was have someone make the sauce. For the price that you pay for their food they should have everything available and especially someone bussing the table instead of the customer doing it.
It just baffles me that this place charges so much for their food and the manager or hostess can’t help out especially when the reservation for 15 was made enough time in advance to have enough people helping out.
And they charged me $4 for soda water, for water to carbonate the water? And $5 for a soda!
It also started to get very warm in the room, guest at our table started leaving.
Do not waste your time or money at this place, it truly isn’t worth it.
