5 /5 Nilesh Kumud: As I was strolling near SJSU, I started feeling a bit hungry and happened to come across Home Eat. After spotting some positive reviews online, I figured it was worth a try.
I ordered the Shrimp and Ham Fried Rice—minus the ham—which turned out to be hearty, well-seasoned, and just what I expected. My only gripe was that it came with only three shrimp, which felt a little underwhelming given the name. Thankfully, the TIDU Shrimp Pot more than made up for it.
The TIDU Shrimp Pot was easily the highlight of the meal—brimming with tender shrimp, fish balls, tofu, and a vibrant mix of vegetables, all bathed in a savory sauce with just the right amount of heat. Every bite had something new to enjoy, and it was clear the dish was made with care.
Home Eat really nails Chinese comfort food. The ingredients are fresh, the portions generous, and the menu offers plenty of variety. Even with the minor shrimp-count hiccup, I’d gladly order from them again.
