1 /5 SC: Today we ordered for pick up and the shrimp and grits that was packed was disproportionately prepared and not what I’m used to getting. For reference, I’ve added photos of the shrimp and grits from previous reviews — this is the preparation I’m used to receiving. Then, I’ve added my personal photo and video of the order I got today — absolutely plain, lacking flavor, seasoning, and color. No matter how much I mixed it, there was nothing within the grits itself. Upon calling the restaurant, the manager we spoke too had tried to explain to me that’s how it’s served because “it’s shrimp over grits” and I really had a difficult time making her understand how it’s not normally how we’ve received it in the past and I tried to kindly ask if there was a way to just pick up another one in replacement but that idea wasn’t really entertained and my request felt ignored; she immediately suggested getting a refund through DoorDash (except we ordered on their website). When services don’t acknowledge or try to resolve an issue, that to me suggests customer service doesn’t matter and that’s fine, it is what it is.
