3 /5 Fady Jaber: George’s Steakhouse Bar & Grill has the kind of old‑school charm that makes you want to give it a fair shot, especially when you’re in town for work and craving something hearty. The service was friendly enough, and the atmosphere has that classic steakhouse feel, but the meal itself didn’t quite hit the mark.
I ordered the ribeye medium‑well, and it arrived fully well‑done. While the steak wasn’t terrible—it still had decent flavor—the overcooking definitely took away from what could’ve been a richer, juicier experience. It’s the kind of thing that doesn’t ruin a meal but does leave you wishing the kitchen had paid a little closer attention.
The coleslaw was… fine. Not offensive, not memorable, just there. A basic, middle‑of‑the‑road side that didn’t add much to the plate.
Overall, George’s feels like a place with potential, but my visit landed squarely in “average” territory. With a bit more consistency in the kitchen, it could easily be better.
