1 /5 Joan: I was super excited for this place to open because the Fishbone in the valley is delicious. Clearly this is under different ownership, or is some sort of a franchise, because the two locations could not be more different. One of the best things about the valley location is the remoulade sauce which is the best Ive ever had. This place serves some sort of mayonnaise-y goo with zero flavor. Everything we ate was bad. The po-boy was short on shrimp, had unripe tomato and mixed salad greens on it, instead of iceberg, and the bread was squishy. The red beans and rice were burned, dry and flavorless. The catfish plate was served with three tiny pieces of catfish that tasted like dirt, for nearly $20. The potato salad with sweet. Bleach. The french fries were overcooked and under seasoned and dry. We spent $71 on terrible food and we will not be back.
