5 /5 Wendy Brickman: The Crab House, with its signature giant clock near the end of the Wharf, is a wonderful relaxing destination to dine with family or friends, featuring a great setting and beautiful views from both upstairs and downstairs. It’s perfect for corporate and tour groups and celebrations, offering a spacious layout, al fresco dining upstairs and downstairs with great views of the Monterey Harbor, and a comfortable bar area also with fantastic views. The restaurant is very well run, with professional and friendly servers and hostesses who make the experience seamless. They welcome families and with the big space and a variety of seating options, its a great choice.
For lunch yesterday, everything was delicious. They have a big menu with lots of choices. The Jumbo Coconut Prawns with chunks of sweet mango were crispy and wonderful, the Goat Cheese and Beet Salad was excellent, and the garlic bread was crunchy, tasty and fresh. Special thanks to our server, Jorge Ranilo, who was superb—friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced. He made our visit especially enjoyable.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for excellent seafood, great service, and a beautiful dining atmosphere. Be sure to check it out!
