3 /5 V S: A & J Ichiban is a cozy, centrally located sushi spot that offers friendly service and a decent menu for sushi lovers passing through or staying in Eureka. What I Ordered: Spider Rolls Tuna Rolls Edamame Food Review: The tuna rolls stood out — fresh, clean-tasting tuna with nicely prepared rice. The spider roll, while flavorful, was a bit too heavy on the fried element for my liking; the texture overpowered the more delicate components. The edamame unfortunately missed the mark — overcooked and soggy, lacking that crisp pop you expect. Service & Atmosphere: What really stood out was the service — the ladies working were warm, attentive, and on top of things without being overbearing. The atmosphere is inviting, with comfortable seating for both solo diners and families. Overall: Reasonably priced, centrally located, and backed by great service, A & J Ichiban is worth a stop if youre in town. With a bit of refinement to a few dishes, it could easily level up.

1 /5 drew alan: This is your a & j popcorn chicken? What a joke man most dry chicken I’ve ever eaten does not look like photos everyone in there must of been too winked out to even put sauce on my side or my roll after waiting 52 minutes for my order.

3 /5 Joe Rendon: Definitely not the best sushi, its mediocre at best. Prices are descent tho so no complaints there, $9-17 per roll isnt bad but the taste doesnt have quality to it. I personally wouldnt go back unless I absolutely had too! Just not worth spending the money on "eeh" sushi. Didnt get sick so thats a plus!! Service wasnt bad tho!

5 /5 Adrianna: This place was so delicious! The rice was perfectly steamed and had a really nice soft texture, and the raw fish was really soft and had a nice texture and a really nice subtle flavor, not too fishy at all. The miso soup as well was perfect! So many places make there miso soup WAY too salty, but I feel like this one was the perfect balance :) and had a wonderful savory flavor which was complemented by the green onions in it. The green tea was also super yummy! It wasnt bitter and didnt taste fishy, it was just really nice and calming. The ribs were super tender and tasted great, fell off the bone pretty nicely. Staff were super nice and food didnt take too long to come out, and the bathrooms were very clean. It was all around just super yummy and I totally recommend this place! I want to come back to this place at some point for sure.

5 /5 LUCIA BARRETO: I’ve been going to this place like once a week since i moved to Eureka a year ago. I LOOOVE it. Their chicken katsu is amazing. Really good miso soup, and my favorite is their fried rice. omg. just amazing. Also their ramen is really well done and they offer vegan options. I dont like sushi but my boyfriend says that theirs is really good too. I just love this place so much
