Parkwest Casino Cordova - Rancho Cordova Jacqueline Campion: Ive been here for lunch and had a delicious salad - perfect environment for a sit down working lunch with coworkers. We could actually hear each other. Theres also a late night happy hour, and the giant pretzels are SO GOOD.
Epoch Casino - Rancho Cordova justin lenter: Friendly gamboling environment, cheap drinks good atmosphere. Shout out to pit boss Andy and Mark in security.
Colusa Casino Resort - Colusa Tony Cortez: We stayed last weekend for a visit to celebrate an early birthday, my spouse and I. We were able to get a room reservation and park our big rig truck and trailer safely overnight, in the oversize parking lot. We enjoyed the room in the lodge, it was very clean, quite, and so comfortable with ice cold air conditioning, and a large fantastic, and well appointed bathroom with a bathtub, with plenty of large fluffy bath towels! We ate twice at Jacks, the bourbon jam bacon hamburgers were so delicious, with both regular and sweet potato fries. The Cafe was also perfect for early morning espressos! We had fun gaming for hours and saw lots of guests winning all around us, and we shared in the excitement. It was also cool to be entered in the Sat Sept drawings with our players card, although we didnt win them. Kudos to host Kimberly! She met with us multiple times to explain questions we had about accruing players club points and to check on us. We even received a follow up phone call today, amazing! She is absolutely wonderful, and showed that she cared about our experience and visit, even though we are neither vip nor high rollers. Anyone who has the pleasure of her help and expertise will definitely feel like a winner!! Thank you so much, Calusa Casino Resort!
19th Hole Casino & Lounge - Antioch H J: Love this place and hope it grows more! But needs improvement in certain areas.
The good!
- Staff & people! Everyone is nice and the dealers are willing to explain the rules
- Very beginner friendly, would recommend
for people who aren’t crazy deep in poker and want to have a nice friendly game
- Tournaments are awesome! Lots of people
- The bar. Duhhhhh
Needs improvement:
- conflicting information on the website, phone & in person for games info, buy in cost, tournament structure and the game/house rules are not always clear.
- Cash chips are really old/dirty. Tournaments chips are even older.
- Usually only two tables are running for the tournaments. If you come late, you won’t play since it’s a long waitlist and buy in is only up to the break. I understand finding staff is difficult for this.
- Tournaments are like super fast. 10min levels, blinds going up are crazy jumps also. The last 20min of the tournament isn’t really poker anymore, it’s gambling. It seems like they do this to make the game end by 3-3:30, but a tournament that was slightly longer or less blind jumps would be lovely.
Napa Valley Casino - American Canyon Shae Inglin: Rooms - fine and served its purpose
Location - Perfect for going to an event at the ruins
Service - Lauren the graveyard shift concierge was AMAZING! We were unfamiliar with the area so we had questions that she delightfully answered! Give Lauren a raise!!
Ace & Vine - Napa Morris Chen: A few friends and I went to the outdoor patio to hang out over this cool sofa setup around a fire and a waitress came out to help us. Katie, thank you for being super friendly and hospitable!! Would come back in a heart beat.
Elk Valley Casino - Crescent City Nicole Eng-Pierson: Very small. The staff was great. And the food was so yum. Better then where we come from. Im definitely going to make my way back there again. The scenery was pretty cool.
Cactus Jacks Senator Club - Carson City Marissa Maulden: My favorite place to play in all of Carson and beyond. Seem to do well here moreso than at other casinos. Love the staff n Andrew and Beth especially go out of their way to make you feel welcomed.
Red Hawk Resort + Casino - Placerville Erin Dwyer: Went to Pearl Asian Cuisine. Fantastic service and food. The hostess, I think it was Denver, was so sweet and kind and showed our party the best service. Cant wait to go again!
I Recommend the Mongolian Beef. Scrumptious!
