Sara Brett I found this business earlier this year. Have sold a few gold necklaces that my family gave to me and I simply have no desire to wear them. What I really like about this store is the excellent customer service its very low key and they dont give you hassles or ask you questions about the origin of your jewelry. Ive been assisted by Alan both times I went in and hes really friendly and very speedy in checking the gold to make sure its real Im pretty sure he has many decades of experience and has no confusion on his end. He likes to be helpful and sometimes I strike up a chat and he is pleasant to talk to you. I havent got to know the other staff yet but next time Ill see what they have to say.. but like I said, the low-key casual atmosphere is something that I really like here. Ive been to some other gold exchange stores where they seemed mistrusting of me, like they were wondering why I had some items or would take my thumbprint and make me feel like I did something wrong, but not this place.

adriana trenado Love going to JC Penny and the little playground in the coddingtown mall located in front of JCPenny. They have the cleanest and most organized spots. The employees are extremely helpful and kind. I WANT TO GIVE A BIG THANK YOU TO THE MANAGER. Thank you for grabbing my backpack from the bathroom and giving it back to me. Although some customer stole my $120. I at least got my backpack and my belongings inside of it which most importantly included my wallet with my ID and etc. Thank you so much for being amazing. I always come here to JCPenny with my mom or on my own to buy clothes for my child. She loves it here. Thankyou I’m very appreciative.

Brittney Bailey I went in to buy a medalla for my godsons baptism. The women there tried to sell me a flimsy cheap medalla for $190. The thing was worth about $30 in gold. They thought I was stupid and tried to take advantage of me - definitely will never go back here.

Britnee Dunn Eric, whom I believe is the shop owner is incredibly rude and classist, not only to customers but to his staff as well with customers present; really bad look. I’ve been in the world of fine jewelry as a child having learned the trade from a family member. I called in advance to ensure the service I was in search of was offered, drove an hour out of my way to come to this specific shop, only to be talked down to SEVERELY by Eric when I arrived. I came in to have a couple pieces tested for carat purity, to which he stated “we don’t just test gold pieces for free, that’s not what we do here”. His tone could not have been more condescending… I was pretty taken aback as A) I called in advance sharing exactly the service I needed, and was told to come on in. B) there were other guests of a much older age present (I am a millennial) as he spoke down to me as though I had or knew nothing of value. I let him know I never expect anything for free (to assume I do is an insult to me personally as well as my business savvy), and was simply searching for a paid service most jewelers offer, and was told he also offered by his own associate over the phone. He just seemingly assumed I was a young woman with no knowledge, nothing of value and there to exploit his time..? Very strange, EXTREMELY insulting, especially considering it was my very first visit (and last) to this store. It felt similar to being on a first date and the guy is just abusing the staff as you sit and watch, but he lacks so much self-awareness that he doesn’t even realize you’re about to “visit the restroom” and never return to the table. There are MANY kind, talented jewelers in Sonoma County who will treat you with care and gratitude no matter your business; I recommend Dan Troudeau and associates at Halem & Co. in the Sonoma Square. Save yourself the trauma and/or a potential boxing match if you’re more like me and have some fire in you, cause I’ll tell ya had the southern girl in me come out a little harder I’d’ve been tempted to pop this guy back into place!! Eric, shame on you. Do better. Jewelry friends, SAVE YOURSELVES!!!

Erica Meyer This is a cute store, simply to walk around when in the area. Great for gifts, toys, random objects, puzzles and cards. We stopped in to look around and I was astonished by the cute jewelry. I didnt buy any this time, but did hint to my SO that Id like some. I hope he gets the hint haha. My friend found origami paper she liked. Highly recommend. Hours are slightly altered due to COVID. They have cute masks, $7.99 each for those wanting a new one :)

Veronica Harold My daughter got her ears pierced last year for her birthday. Everyone who works there is amazing and so helpful. She has sensitive skin so had a couple issues and they were always welcoming and willing to help her in every way possible and gave her great advice. We recently went back in to get help changing out a pair of earrings and they did it right away and were very cool about helping her out once again. This is where anyone should go for piercings.

Kepola We were gifted a jersey from this store, but it was the wrong size so we were told by the staff that we could exchange it. Along with my newborn baby (not an easy task ) I brought the jersey (unused and in pristine condition, tags attached and still in the bag) back, but was then told that their exchange period was only 30 days (we were not told that by staff and its not printed on the receipt) and that we could not change sizes, even though the size we needed was hanging right on the wall next to me. I explained my situation, that it was hard for me as a mother with a brand new baby and my husband working 7 days a week, for us to get back there. I asked for their understanding, and flexibility, but they refused. I am so disappointed with this business! Now we have a $100+ jersey from them that we cannot wear all because this business was not willing to apply ethical business practice, especially for a brand new mother. We will not be recommending this business to anyone on my husbands soccer team or anyone at all for that matter. Instead we will be recommending other places that have longer exchange policies or are more understanding with customers. This business has lost our business and we do not plan to ever go back! Also, the woman who I spoke with was very rude!
