Live Fit Gym • Polk Street - San Francisco
Miranda Matos: Been a member for 3-4? Years now, haven’t second guessed my membership here since I signed up. Live fit offers all you could want or need, and at affordable rates without the overcrowding issues. Mahogany, the gym manager and all the staff here are so friendly and helpful, they make every visit a great one. I am so excited to start working with trainer Bristy, who gave me the work out of my life just during our fitness assessment. Only better things to come at live fit for me :)
Live Fit Gym • Hayes Valley - San Francisco
Bobby G: I moved from SF to LA and had to give this gym up and I miss it! Amazing facilities, super clean and modern - its small but crowd is minimal except for 6-7PM weekdays. What makes this place shine is the amazing and extremely helpful and personable staff! Really makes it feel like a community. Big shoutout to Andrew, Ryan, and Dan (who signed me up when I moved to SF many years ago) - you guys are the best and make the gym what it is.
Live Fit Gym - Mission - San Francisco
Michelle Oh: The bench press here is made for only very tall people. This is crazy because I think the average height in sf is like 5’5. Luckily this isn’t a problem for me because I’m 6’3 (I’m also really good looking). Still I think they should look into getting a bench press that is more suitable to the local population

joseph crowley: I had such a great experience at this gym! The atmosphere was super welcoming from the moment I walked in. I got the chance to meet the General Manager, and they were incredibly kind and made me feel comfortable right away. It’s rare to walk into a gym and feel that genuinely cared for. The staff was friendly, the equipment was clean and well-maintained, and the overall vibe made me actually want to come back. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Henry Lyford: Great neighborhood gym. New equipment and friendly staff. Price is a little steep but having no enrollment fee (join and cancel whenever) and not being crowded makes it worth it.
Locals Fitness - San Francisco
Eric Armstrong: I love this gym. I spent the summer in San Francisco for a summer job and joined on the flexible month-to-month plan. The gym is brand new, has excellent and well-maintained equipment, and is never too crowded. The clientele are all good and respectful people. All the gym staff, especially the owner, Daniel, are really great and make an effort to greet you by name. The gym has solid hours too (closing at 11pm on most days) which is great if you work out late at night like I often do. Overall would highly recommend this gym if you live nearby!
Fitness Urbano - San Francisco
Ali Wu: This gym is neat and prioritizes free weight training. It offers convenient access through an app, enabling you to register and handle your membership entirely online. Im not a fan of the manual check-in process in addition to using door access. It would be more efficient to solely rely on door access for verifying membership. The manual check-in just adds unnecessary extra work.
The Culture SF - San Francisco
Stephen Mar: Great locally owned gym with a real neighborhood feel. Rocky the owner is great, as is the rest of the team. Clean, well run space with everything you need! Culture offers monthly memberships as well as personal training packages.

Jackson Ludwig: The weight area was pretty decent, but the pool and lockers were not good. I showed up on a Saturday morning and there was water all over the floor. Lots of dirt and grime. When I went to swim the pool was completely cloudy and staff was sprinkling chlorine in it as people were swimming which I’m pretty sure is not safe. The pool was crowded and nobody was circle swimming. The hot tub wasn’t working and was half full. I would lift weights here in a pinch but stay away from the pool!
Crunch Fitness - San Francisco
Jane Doe: This is a CORPORATE culture club, meaning if you have any other Crunch Fitness membership, even the highest in another state, you will have to pay to use their facilities / work out here. 10$ members 12.50$ guests The prices starts there and goes up. Ask for a robe at the front desk. They have an outdoor roof top pool. 3 lap lanes which you have to reserve. A sauna and steam room. The ONLY Crunch in the SF area to have a steam or sauna.
