5 /5 C. Evan Johnson: I was always kind of curious yet intimidated by the idea of doing CrossFit.
I figured I’d give it a try after meeting the head coach, Steph at a fitness event this past summer.
I did fundamentals with her, in which she helped me get familiar with the different movements and terminology. She also showed me things to work on to improve.
I’ve since taken about 5 classes. In all of them, the trainers are extremely helpful in teaching the movements.
I have a long way to go in learning the movements (especially the snatch as you can see). It’s a fun process though, to improve in new skills.
You’re not expected to be great when you first try it out, but you can be sure you’ll get a damn good workout with a supportive and fun community.
There are people of all different abilities there. Some absolute wrecking balls of muscle and grit, and some weekend warriors.
Each of them are supportive and cool because.. Well I’ve come to learn that’s just Stay Classy CrossFit’s style.
If you’re intimidated, don’t be. If you’re curious, try it out. It’s awesome.
