5 /5 tina janulaw: As a 50-something woman with very little gym experience, I had known for a long time that I should be strength-training to keep my bones strong, but never had the courage to join a gym. That changed when I joined the somofit fitness club. All of the trainers I have taken classes with have been so supportive, knowledgeable, caring, and motivational. They always check in to find out if anyone needs modifications and they are very conscientious about making sure we use proper form to avoid injury. I have taken many of the large variety of classes, from the strength-training classes to the yoga/pilates-types of classes and I love them all. At first I had a hard time with the strength training since I had never done anything like it, but with all of the encouragement I got from the trainers, I quickly got to the point of actually being excited for every class. I am also impressed with the huge variety of equipment we use- it will never get boring. After less than two months I was amazed at how much strength and confidence I had already gained. And I was initially intimidated by the heat in the flow room since I hate heat, but I have adjusted to it and I know that it helps improve my flexibility and circulation. I also love the ease of signing up for classes and the opportunity to take as many as I want, all included. And I love the sense of community there. I always feel welcome and never intimidated or uncomfortable or out of place. Joining somofit is one of the best things I have ever done for myself.
