  • Goat Shack Boxing Club - Paso Robles
John McDonald: Honestly one of the worst gyms I’ve stepped foot in. It’s overpriced for what you get, and the so-called ā€˜coaching’ is basically just a guy barking orders who clearly couldn’t make it in the ring himself. Half the time the equipment is either dirty or being hogged, and the vibe is more about ego than training. If you actually want to learn boxing, look anywhere else but here.
    Club Pilates - Paso Robles
Travis Davis Povero: The classes are for 60+ y.o. people, or at least, that is the community most served here. So I want to just stick with the gym but Club Pilates never mentioned I was under monthly contracts with them and I have to pay extra to cancel. They have several pages of contracts which staff went over with me and left out the fees. I asked the class instructor what a reformer (the main piece of equipment) was and she stumbled over her words before she said she has no idea. Unless you want another monthly ā€œserviceā€ money- sucking hassle in your life, do business somewhere else.
Next Level Athletes Training Center - Templeton
Serenity Yoga Wellness Retreat - Paso Robles
Lois Trompeter: This cozy retreat is marked by a friendly intimacy within a harbored oasis-like setting. The property is quite magnificent and the Retreat offers a wide range of activities, including some classes offered to locals, which is me;) I am always ready to refer the whole package to friends and family from out of the area as the accommodations, classes, dining, etc. are a unique experience and wonderfully presented with much love and thoughtfulness by the owners, Dian and Jay ...also to widen your retreat experience, a new addition... Jeremiah, who offers Ancient Teachings, Ayurveda, Yoga, Meditation, Bilocation, and OBE Techniques including an alternative over-night/s stay in a Tipi, or camp under the stars on the grounds overlooking the town with a south/western exposure that shows off the spectacular Paso Robles sunsets! If you are looking for a unique stay where you will be sincerely welcomed and cared for, this is the place that will meet the physical with the heart and bring healing full circle!
Dharma Yoga Loft - Paso Robles
Kimberly Bradley: I have been a student/member of Dharma Yoga Loft for nearly five years now and I can not express enough how extraordinary this place is! The community of instructors, as well as students, is so very unique. All are very warm and welcoming! The instructors are all very knowledgeable and each offers their own exceptional touches to their classes. It truly is my home-away-from-home and what I get out of each experience far surpasses my expectations. If you are looking for a yoga studio - you must give this one a try! Thank you to Jena Baird (owner) for providing such a unique and comforting studio to our community!
FHF Training Center- Fusion Fiit - Atascadero
Mary Strobridge: I appreciate the truly personal training and attention to detail given me by the Coaches. Lexi and Christina work with me to adjust my workouts and nutrition. I highly recommend Fusion Health and Fit Training Center!
    Atascadero CrossFit - Atascadero
Lorianne Hoover: I joined Atascadero CrossFit a few years ago through their 6-week challenge, and I’ve been going ever since. My initial goal was to get stronger, but I found so much more—a supportive community, wonderful coaching, and an environment that truly prioritizes progress and proper movement. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely care about each member’s growth. The community is welcoming, encouraging, and filled with people of all ages pushing each other to be better. If youre looking for a gym that offers more than just workouts, I highly recommend checking it out!
Clarkys Body Shop Strength & Conditioning Gym - Atascadero
Victoria Taylor: Have been a member of this gym for 12 years and I think the length of time attests to what a quality gym this is. Kim and Chad have seen me through post-baby years and now are a huge support to me as I maintain my strength and endurance. There is nothing intimidating about this gym. Always friendly faces and happy attitudes here. You can wear what you want, modify as you need, and get one on one support throughout your workout. Or, you can be left alone to follow the prescribed workout. They are always well thought out and varied so that you are working your entire body each week. I’ve enjoyed every part of my experience here and consider Kim, Chad, and my 6 am crew family! We would all love to welcome new members to find a place they are comfortable in.
Pure Yoga and Wellness - Atascadero
Vicky Winslow: Pure Yoga and Wellness is legit. Best studio in SLO county. The instructors make the classes so fun, from the music to the moves. Its a full body workout that will leave you craving more!! IHP with Jessica Otter is seriously my favorite class. She is hands down the best. Great music, upbeat and positive vibes. Love that she changes up the moves often to keep it fresh.
    CrossFit Ergo - Paso Robles
jon whitener: One year ago I saw a picture of myself in a wetsuit- If you ever need a life changing wake up call, put on a wetsuit. I have 3 beautiful daughters that I want to be able to play sports with when I’m 60 so knew I had to do something major. To help the cause, I found out I had high uncontrollable blood pressure and high cholesterol. To hear the doctors tell me this at 33 years old was pretty scary. I slowly started to watch what I ate and tried to educate myself on nutritional facts. I lost 7, 10 then 15 total pounds and started feeling motivated. Being motivated lead me to researching gyms on the coast to help with my weight loss journey. I came across CrossFit Ergo. Read some reviews and after getting up enough courage, I called to get more info. I’m so glad I did. I had this idea in my head that I had to be ā€œin shapeā€ or ā€œfitā€ before trying it out. Which is totally not the case. The coaches and members at Ergo are always willing to help and answer ANY questions you have (I asked a ton of questions). They take away any intimidation factor and are so welcoming. Mike, the owner got me on a nutritional program that I’m currently still on. Nutrition is the hardest part of weight loss and Mike is my biggest cheerleader. I’ve never been a part of a gym where the coaches, members and owner truly care about your well-being. Long story short, I went from over 280 lbs to now 230 lbs in one year. I went from 4 blood pressure pills a day to ZERO pills a day. Hearing the doctor say I’m healthy…. WOW. It’s definitely not easy. You will be sore. Probably for days. Making a lifestyle change isn’t easy. If you think you can’t do something, then you won’t. If I can do this, anyone can do this. Stop waiting. Make the change and come see what I’m talking about.
