2 /5 Shray Khanna: I consulted with multiple attorneys after suffering a traumatic incident, and most of them advised me that I didn’t need representation since no charges had been filed. My impression from my consultation with Seth was that he encouraged me to retain his services, presenting it as a smart decision and leaving me with the understanding that he would go above and beyond for me. In hindsight, what concerns me is that Seth likely knew there wasn’t going to be much to do on my case, yet still took my money anyway.
Months later, when I reached out for help with a separate civil matter, I was quoted $10,000 — whereas other well-regarded Bay Area attorneys quoted me around a quarter of that. This made me feel like I wasn’t valued as a client and left me questioning whether my initial case had been taken on for the right reasons.
To be clear, I am not commenting on Seth’s courtroom skills or ability as a litigator. Im sure hes a bad-ass in the courtroom. My concern is purely with the client experience I had. I felt pressured into retaining services I may not have needed, and later quoted a fee that seemed far out of line with industry norms.
Im also leaving an extra star because his office staff were generally very pleasant to deal with.
