Alex: Clean facility with decent AC and friendly staff. I was last here several months ago and theyve really tidied the place up. The lockers and bathrooms are cleaner and theyve added more and better machines, including a proper double cable machine. This is also the only PF in the county Ive seen with actual barbels and genuine power racks, as opposed to the Smith machines every other location has.

Alejandro Cubillas: Nice powerlifting gym, good equipment and the gym staff and owner are super cool!

Ava Bergo: My best friend has a planet fitness Black Card membership and so I get in as a guest. I think it’s frustrating and not fair that they are the only ones that are able to use things such as tanning beds, massages, and hydro massages. I get they are the ones paying but if they are bringing me to workout with them, I feel it’s fair that guests are also able to use them too. Especially if Planet Fitness wants more traction and customers. I also think the amount of effort you have to go to so you can cancel a membership is INSANE. To cancel her membership, planet fitness workers asked my sister to post them a hand written letter stating why she wanted to cancel her membership. I think it’s a total scam. Sure it’s cheaper than some places, but now I’m waiting here for my friend because I was refused to use any extra special equipment.
Red Effect Infrared Fitness - San Diego
Prissy Rose: I’ve been going to this gym in East Village for a while now, and it’s truly one of the best out there. Not only is it open 24 hours, which makes it super convenient for any schedule, but the facility is also incredibly clean, which adds to the whole experience. They have a great free weights area and a sauna that you can use as part of your workout — the benefits of training in the heat are amazing for endurance and recovery! They also offer classes that are fantastic for all fitness levels, from beginners like myself to more advanced members. The classes are led by virtual instructors on screen. Plus, the private atmosphere means it’s never overcrowded, so you can really focus. The owner is another highlight — friendly and genuinely attentive to members’ needs, which makes a huge difference. I highly recommend this gym if you’re looking for a great new spot in East Village!

Jill Bormann: Ive been a client since 2015. Working out with Tamara has been the BEST investment Ive ever made for my health and wellbeing. (And I have had other trainers to compare with)! The key *advantage* is that Tamara REALLY "listens" to you. She knows her stuff! She is comprehensive and compassionate! She takes into account ALL aspects of fitness and stays current with the latest science on health, fitness, psychology, biology, etc. I highly recommend her!
    Boulevard Fitness - San Diego
Muneca Gee: Great gym with a solid community! I’d love to see the gym invest a bit more into cleaning, maintenance, and updates, even if that means a higher membership fee. It would be great to feel comfortable showering and getting ready here before work, but the current restroom conditions make that difficult. I think small improvements could make a big difference. Overall, I still enjoy this gym and especially the outdoor area!

Rachel Santino: I love the open space. Theres always available equipment for my fitness needs. The staff are friendly. The atmosphere is also chill and doesnt have a competitive feel, which is great for a new member like me. The massage options are a bonus.
North Park Fitness - San Diego
Marlon G: I was in town for just a few days and needed a solid gym that offers day passes. It wasn’t easy to find but was really happy to have found this gym (20$ for a day pass). Gym is on the smaller side but has everything you need. They have an awesome selection of plate loaded Hammer Strength machines and plenty of squat racks. Staff was incredibly friendly ! I felt very welcome there. Would sign up if I lived in San Diego.
Fit Athletic Club & Gym - San Diego
Sky Dream: This FIT has a plethora of new machines so there’s never a wait to workout. The location is always clean and when I go it’s never too crowded. I get the best workouts in here. The view of Petco Park and Gallagher Square from the cardio machines is unbeatable. I look forward to my workouts here because of how nice this gym is.
AquaVie Fitness + Wellness Club - San Diego
Stacy G.: This was such a wonderful experience! I purchased a travel zoo voucher for me and my boyfriend to get a massage along with access to all the amenities. The gym was very nice. The machines all looked new and it was spotless. I always saw staff members in the locker rooms and everywhere keeping everything clean. The rooftop pool was very relaxing and not crowded. Even though a bit small, it’s still nice to just lounge and also get a delicious bite to eat at a reasonable price. The massage was great and I highly recommend going to the fitness center again as you get access to all the great amenities.
