1 /5 C H: I signed up for a three day trial pass and went to tour this gym. The rep, Kristy, was acting strange and overly fake nice throughout the tour until the end when I said I’m still looking at other gyms in the area so I would want to think about it before signing up. After that, her whole attitude changed and she didn’t even offer to send me the sign-up info. Why would you completely blow off a potential new member just because they’re not signing right that second?
The worst part is she waited til the end to say I couldn’t do the three day trial because I was coming up as a previous member, and there’s actually a balance on the account I need to pay. Do you want to guess why?? Because I signed up for this gym one week before COVID shut everything down, more than five years ago now. I never got to use the gym or do the personal training. They wanted to charge me for service they didn’t provide all of these years later. And I’m not surprised because I have a friend who was getting personal training at her LA Fitness before the pandemic and they never stopped charging her, even when the gyms were all closed and she asked them to stop. What terrible business practice all around.
Additionally, the gym is weirdly empty even at peak times. If this is the only gym in the area that’s not busy after work, I feel like something must be seriously wrong with this location.
