5 /5 Laureen Diephof: At the Country Jewelers in the Prunedale Shopping Center, my three pieces of sterling silverware – two knifes and a spoon were ready to ooo and awe over the wonderful repair that made them nearly perfect.
One knife had been used as a hammer, the other knife and spoon tried to escape down the garbage disposal.
This all happened when I thought it would be lovely if I took the silverware that was a gift from my mother 62 years ago, and used them for everyday wear.
Wrong idea.
The Country Jewelry business has repaired everything of mine, including costume jewelry from the 20s to delicate gold keepsakes, and now the silverware. The jewelers have never disappointed me.
The team, headed by owner Claudia, besides the work they do to repair sterling flatware, as they did for me, will design one of a kind jewelry pieces, repair or re-design an old item into something modern, or they will take your ideas and make them into beautiful treasures.
They are artists and could match the talents of any jeweler you’d see on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles.
