Larry Baird: Best kept secret in central LA! Convenient to Culver City, Whole Foods, Baldwin Hills, West Adams - and the metro E line train. Friendly staff and clientele - with new equipment and plenty of it! Always immaculately clean, high-end locker/shower/dry sauna areas. Most importantly, you are never waiting for machines or equipment.

Tai: This is by far the grossest gym I’ve ever been to. Avoid this place at all costs -nobody picks up their trash. The paper towel dispenser is always empty. There’s garbage scattered throughout the gym and it’s disgusting - staff will not look up from their phones to acknowledge anybody - nobody puts their weights back - don’t even walk in, but walk past the bathroom it smells awful - the place is falling apart with parts of the wall coming off - trash everywhere!! Never seen a single person cleaning inside - dumbbells are everywhere and nobody cares because the employees obviously don’t care about this place Pay 2x the cost and go anywhere else!! Every time you walk out of this gym you’ll feel like you went dumpster diving Check out the Yelp reviews - people have been complaining for a long time, but no action taken. You’ll only get the generic response here on Google Reviews, but check out people’s real thoughts on Yelp… 2.3 stars hah

KayLynn Britcliffe: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Solid Gym with Room for Shower Improvements – Planet Fitness Visited this Planet Fitness location recently and was pleased overall with the experience. The gym is spacious and well-equipped with a wide variety of machines and equipment, making it easy to get a solid workout in without waiting around. Staff was friendly and welcoming upon arrival, which is always appreciated. The locker rooms were clean and maintained regularly, creating a comfortable space to get ready or wind down. The showers, however, could use improvement. It took about five minutes for hot water to kick in, and the shower stalls themselves weren’t as clean as the rest of the facility. That said, the showerheads were taller than six feet, which was a welcome surprise compared to most locations. Unfortunately, there’s no shelving or hooks inside the showers, so your toiletries have to go on the floor—not ideal. Overall, a good gym experience with just a few things to note if you’re planning to shower after your workout. Would still recommend this location for its equipment, space, and friendly staff.

Mr. Hart: Pretty RAGGEDY. Two stars is generous for the condition of this gym. Giving one extra star because the location is good and the building itself is nice - three floors with big windows and a nice view. Most of the equipment is old and poorly maintained - if maintained at all. Theres always several treadmills out of order and usually several other pieces of equipment not working. Weights and other equipment are spread all over the gym and you may or may not find matching dumbbells, desired weights or pins for the weight machines. The sauna and jacuzzi are usually out of order, but I cant imagine wanting to step into either at this location anyway. Also, no A/C The whole place is pretty dirty, but the bathrooms are probably the worst part of the whole experience. There is mold around all the faucets and in the grout. The sinks and countertops are stained and the drains smell. The urinals dont really flush and havent for a while. The solution for the non-functioning urinals is putting a trash bag over some, or all of them and sometimes burning incense to cover the smell. But I dont think theres ever been an attempt to actually repair the toilets. 2 weeks ago, one of the urinals had actual pee leaking out running across the floor for 2 consecutive days, maybe longer. Thats two days of people walking through pee and then tracking it through the club onto the floors people are using for stretching and crunches etc. Nasty. Bottom line is, there are many, much better alternatives in LA for the same price as 24 Slauson. And, to whoever is responsible for copy/pasting the "looks like we have room for improvement" response to this review, no need. Ive been going here for a couple years and its obvious no attempts are being made to make this gym what it could be. Moving on!

Michele Curcho: Amazing gym ever! Empty, good vibes and Thara the manager, she’s is incredibly amazing energy ! Highly recommend this place! I left equinox to do workout here! No regrets ever.
JOHN REED Fitness - Los Angeles
Kirk Lyons: This gym is honestly one of the nicest I’ve been to — super clean, well-organized, and packed with all the equipment you could possibly need for any kind of workout. The atmosphere is great too; it’s got a relaxed vibe and the lighting isn’t overly bright, which makes it more comfortable to focus and train. It can get a little crowded at times, and the noise level goes up when it’s busy. You’ll also see a few people filming their workouts here and there, which can be a bit distracting, but it’s not a dealbreaker. The overall experience definitely makes up for it. What really sets this place apart are the extra amenities — the smoothie bar is a nice post-workout treat, the sauna and showers are always clean, and the fitness classes are well-run and motivating. All in all, it’s a great gym that’s absolutely worth the membership.

Erich Schulze: A truly terrible experience: ultra (ultra) low flow shower heads, in a bad way. Filthy bathrooms (see photo of cleaning bucket. No ac. This place is like an oven Upside is very friendly staff. This place is in desperate need of management.

Daniel Amaro: First time to this location, had business to attend and decided to workout nearby. I was hesitant at first, after reading so many negative reviews. This LAFITNESS location did not disappoint, multiple layers of workout space, they have plenty of machines and free weights; all working. The locker room, bathrooms and showers were very clean. The entire staff was friendly and on top of things for what I saw. Also the people working out was cool and handling workout business. Parking structure seen safe and clean, walking security at all times. Validation inside the LAFitness front desk. Overall excellent gym and recommend! I’ll probably be back, had a good workout.

Adamm: This is a very old school gym, but in a good way. No bs, just a lot of workout machines and a lot of space and it never feels super or overly crowded when I go. The staff is very nice and helpful and this is one of the few gyms in LA that has a good sauna. I was amazed that Equinox, which is like four times the price didn’t have a sauna and that’s why I ended up choosing to gym here.

Jon Vasquez: Been going to this gym for more than two years now. Used to be better when it was 24 hours but does have all lot of positives. Gym is clean and there team member Anthony is awesome. Very helpful when it comes to gym advice and also very eager to help you out in fhe front desk in case anything is needed. Great Customer service overall. Recommend.
