T. S. I came to this place to get a refill done for my civil wedding the next day. I had the classic ombré (as most of the time) and asked for the same style. He went in and started taking off the acrylic. After he only used a nude colour to fill up tge bottom of the nails and the tips had tge white colour from my refill before in. After ONE week exactly I realized that under my right ring finger there is a very dark spot unter the acrylic nail. I went immediately to the store to grab some items to remove that nail. Only to find out there is a nail fungus! I removed all the nails. Worst nail salon I’ve ever been to! 40$ service + 5$ tip and this is what you gut. Super disgusting. Never again!

Tress The first time I came here, I wasnt happy when I left. The girl cut my toenails way too short. I decided to go back and try again, all I had to do was communicate better myself what I wanted. I really cant expect them to read my mind. Ive been back a bunch since then, and theyre great. As long as I communicate, I get what I want. Theyre a very clean facility. The service providers are very kind, and take great pride in their work. The massage chairs are great too. This is the only place I go for my nails now.

Update: After coming for almost a year I noticed that I’ve had services with other nail tech cuz the one I liked was not there, i think she was on maternity leave already; these last couple of times have been declining in service…I’ll just leave it as that and you can see it on the video and you can make your own opinion!

Sofia Eastman My tech Linh did an amazing job! She worked with me to think up a design that was a perfect blend of my ideas and her expertise on what would make the design pop. For me the most important part of a good acrylic set is detailed shaping of the nail and she killed it! I will be back.

Juana J The spot is clean, it looks a like the have a drink station, (they didn’t offer me anything, not sure if you have to pay extra), and the place is very nice, the staff seems friendly. However, my problem is the my nail tech was trying to rush through my manicure. I asked for a simple manicure with polish. The sides of my nails were not done, the polish didn’t start at the cuticle, not even close on some fingers. I did ask her to go back and fix the sides (I’m one of those ppl who NEVER asks to get my nails fixed but it was just that bad) and also bring the polish closer to the cuticle bc my nails grow really fast and I didn’t want them to look overgrown in just a day or 2. She did what I asked and was friendly about it. It wasn’t until after I left that I noticed my other hand was also not polished precisely. It’s just a bummer bc I wanted to treat myself and I literally could have done a better job at home.

Lakeisha Harris Lynn did an amazing job on my nails. I was skeptical based off of the reviews, but I’m glad I went. I found my new nail tech and salon. The only downfall is they charge $25 to make an appointment (yes the fee goes towards your service). I understand why they do this but if you’re using your credit card there is a 3% fee, and then once you pay after your service there’s another 3% fee. Hence the reason for 4 stars vice 5. Received hard gel over my nails.

Regine Cline This might be my new favorite nail spot! Its very pricey, but youre paying for the experience. I got a gel manicure and pedicure. Total ended up being $124. Wow, ouch. I know! Story time - the Camila pastel candy nail polish (I posted a picture of it) caught my eye when I walked in. So of course, me being me, always extra, doing the most , I wanted the pink bottom right color for Valentines Day. Before they painted my nails, they said it would cost $10 extra. So I ended up going with it because its so cute!! Would I get it again? Probably not. I always like to change it up. Anyways, hanna did my pedicure. I opted for the $49 pedicure experience because treat yoself, am I right ladies? Her massage was great and I loved the products she put on my legs and feet! It had a heavenly eucalyptus smell and my skin was soo soft after. Lynn did my manicure. I normally do acrylic long nails, but Im a mom now. I opted for short gel nails and it turned out super natural and cute. Vibes - 10 out of 10. It was quiet and quaint. The wine was good. And all the employees were super friendly. The smells in there alone made it feel like a spa. Ill probably be back :)

I have been going to Angel the only nail stylist that works there for the past 11 years never had I ever had a problem with my nails and always spend 100+ anytime I told her I didn’t like them or if she could add or change, she would never had a problem until yesterday September 11, 2024 went to get my nails done like I usually do every two weeks and when I went to tell her that I didn’t like something on my nails mind you I showed her the picture before I asked her to do the set. She told me she could do it When we were finished it wasn’t what I wanted so I asked her if she could fix it. I’m a rhinestone girl and a nail art person so all I did was ask her if she could add a couple rhinestones to fill out the butterfly so they can look like butterflies they didn’t look like butterflies at all she upfront told me no I’m not doing it it’s too much if you want it you’re gonna pay more we had already agreed on a price when I showed her the inspiration picture I had no rhinestones on my nails and the picture I showed her had rhinestones and flowers again when I asked her can you please fix it. It’s what I’m paying for. She told me it’s too much. I’m not gonna do it , so I told her you know what I’m sorry I do not like them. I Don’t like them. proceeds to grab my hand and yank me towards her so hard my phone went flying. My AirPods went flying. She knocked over all of her nail powders and equipment in the process of yanking me towards her. She broke my phone screen and threaten to cut my nails off I told her no we don’t need to cut them off. I just want them to be fixed a little bit, then proceeded to start breaking her equipment i got up and walked out. I did not pay for her services. She was very unprofessional very disrespectful and she laid her hands on me again I spend over $120 with her each time I go get my nails done , I will never go to her again after 11 years. I have never been treated the way she treated me. And I am a very loyal client I have never in years, went to another nail tech, and now I have too jump around and find a new nail tech.i had to go to the nail salon down the street to get my nails fixed. An I’m currently replacing my phone screen NEVER AGAIN WILL I SPEND MONEY WITH YOU ANGEL….

Mayra Garza Tammy did a wonderful job I am beyond happy with how many nails look. Not everyone works the same. So if you’ve had a bad experience ask for Tammy she hears you she takes her time she ask if you’re satisfied she understands and her main focus is that we like how are nails look: if you explain to her she literally pays attention to everything and doesn’t interrupt you by saying yes yes aha okay. She actually does the best!

Kaiah I wouldn’t recommend against this place or for it either. This place is VERY hit and miss. I’ve had great services and also bad service. Today, I couldn’t believe how I was treated. I’m sorry to say, but the male nail techs here are not satisfactory. I’ve had two sets from both of them and they were not professional looking either time. As you can tell in the first image, the edges weren’t even straight or crisp. Keep in mind this was after they were fixed, so they were worse before this picture. I was very kind and gentle with my feedback on my service because I still plan on coming back just with different nail techs. I asked him about the things I wanted fixed (I asked for the polish to reach the very top of my nail plate because the way he painted it looked 3 weeks grown out) and he told me it wasn’t possible, when I told him I’m a nail tech myself and I know that it is possible and that I understand, he told me “if you want them repainted, you can paint them yourself” I said “I’m not sure what you mean by that, what did you just say?” And he took back what he said right away and said he’d do it for me. But when he did, he was throwing my hands and super rough and made me bleed. He grabbed my wallet and keys by himself and threw them on someone else’s nail desk and told me someone else was going to help me. I could tell he was upset because he was rolling his eyes and talking under his breath and it made me feel like crying. I felt like such a nuisance. Mimi was awesome and very apologetic in helping me fix what she could and holly is very gentle and sweet for pedicures. There’s another woman there who fixed my last set aswell and she was great too, from now on, I’ll ask for my nail tech by name. But $70 for what I walked out with and the time I had was disappointing.

Melissa smith Update- went back a few weeks later. Little less happy with gel manicure, didnt notice till I got home but one nail had a air bubble on the side that raised up and chipped that same day. French manicure the white lines had very little curve to them. My biggest concern is there where several people getting pedicures next to me, all the nail technicians kept getting new sanitized tools from the sealed bags but one lady twice just went to the sink and wiped hers down with a paper towel. None of the other technicians either noticed or said anything to her. First 2 pics from first visit, second 2 from second visit. 1st visit -Got a gel manicure with old gel polish removed. These use the grinding tool for removal but didnt dig into the natural nail, so they still felt strong before painting. Great job shaping the nails into almond and I got a large white stripe. Gotta the deluxe pedicure 48$, the tech spent a good amount of time cleaning up the nails, sides and shaping. I was very happy.

Rainy Eames Ive never been so unhappy with my nails. Came in with a photo of exactly what I wanted, and ended up with the shortest acrylics ever, and an uneven paint job, where there are huge gaps on all sides of the nail. These are freshly done and look like theyre a week or two old... (included photo of what I wanted at the end) Ill give them credit for caring and trying to make it right by taking 10% off, but I will still never go back. An extra star for a very sweet staff, but still very poor work.

Sheena Hart Came in to repair a broken nail, when Yumi saw how my whole nails were done, she recommended getting them redone because it didn’t look good at all (which I knew). They were done at another salon and I was completely unhappy with it but because of timing I left with what was done. Thanks to Yumi and Jessica, my nails came out looking flawless. I love them! They are definitely my go-to spot. All the girls there are nice and friendly.

Tress I want to say, everyone was very nice. The service provided was done so with the greatest of customer service, and for that I am very pleased. I imagine this is the kind of place a bridal party would go for mimosas, while they get their nails done for a wedding... Since Im not looking to drink while I get my nails done and part of the experience Im looking for is the massage, foot and chair, to top off, the prices are higher than average, I personally wont be returning. The shop looks like it was really nice when it opened. Although, the decor has lost its luster, which seems to be the main appeal after the fact that its an actual bar that serves alcohol. My nails came out fine, no better than anywhere else Ive been, but about 10-15% more expensive. The girl who did my nails was really nice but very light handed. I didnt feel the message, and thats my favorite part. The chairs are oversized and comfortable, but theyre not massage chairs. I ended up going to Happy Head after. Again, I had no issues with the service or any of the people that work there, this place just isnt for me.

I had booked online with a specific nail tech for a acrylic fill with gel color for $58 (which in my opinion is already pricey but I was prepared to pay it to experience a new salon with possibly a higher quality result) When I sat down, she quoted my nails $70. I was in shock and confused at whether or not she was making a mistake or not. I thought to myself, “maybe this isn’t the nail tech I requested” or “maybe she thinks I have requested a design, hence the extra charge” That was not the case, the reason was because the original nail set was not done by her and it would require “more work”. What is unfair in this experience is I was UNAWARE of how they price when I thought the charge would be $58 as it stated online. I expressed to the nail tech that I still would like to continue being that I arranged and scheduled my time to dedicate that hour to my nails and would not be able to come another time/day. Overall, as I mentioned earlier, she did a great job but the stores policy is not fair. Be aware that the price they state is not always what you will pay for reasons apparently they only know.

Chen Chrissy Rinka “Rinka” Im not from around here; Im here for work. I walked in to make an appointment for a Sunday service for my pedicure and gel manicure. The front desk was very nice, and the receptionists name is Victoria. My manicurist, Anna, was very nice, sweet, and professional. She was also very patient and understanding. My pedicurist, Alan, was gentle with my toe for my ingrown toenail. The whole service here was nice, and I felt comfortable. Ill definitely come back here when I visit San Diego again and strongly recommend Alan and Anna.

Upon arrival the employees were warm certain extent we told them what we wanted it was a bit of confusion however myself and my friends daughter whos 12 by the way received a pedicure additionally her mother had a full set put on. Now during the time of my pedicure I dropped my phone from the seat onto the floor long story short my phone cracked and apparently the same tray somewhat opened and card shifted fast forward its time for payment and Im having issues with my phone being that I pay for my phone using G pay I let the lady know what was going on shes very condescending in the fact kept asking me if I was ready to pay ready to pay if shes clearly she seen me that I was having issues with my phone now let me just say I did have a card on me however I lock my cards therefore if Im going to pay from either my phone and or my card it needs to be unlocked for reasons Im not going to get into she then proceeded to run the card when I told her I had an unlocked it yet and she thought it was funny kept asking me if I was ready to pay as if though to insinuate I didnt have the money to do so mind you had already giving her a cash tip her and the gentleman that performed services for the pedicures long story short what I had to do was I had to pop out the century adjust the SIM card and restart the phone which I did and voila I was up and ready to pay for services provided in between that time another guest had come in and she was sitting there as if to mock me with the guest saying that I hadnt paid yet because of my phone issues I felt that she was very unprofessional and I will never ever ever go there again and its sad because the convenience is just I mean you cant beat it as far as location wise I will say that the owner whom I believe was the owner she did the design on my toenails she was somewhat more pleasant I think she felt the energy it was wasnt good and her employee was totally unprofessional again I would never ever go there again and I would recommend for the public do not have services rendered there due to the fact that employee was totally unprofessional at one point I really I was angry upon rectifying the issue she ran my card no problem but doing that time she was very condescending and as though poking fun at me as though I was lying and I didnt have a job to pay for my services rendered. Unprofessional very unprofessional. Then to top it off the cost from my pedicure was $50 and I agreed to pay for my friends daughters hers her pedicure being $45 yet somehow I was charged $102 $2 for the card usage fee thats still would be 97 not 102 get with it and hire better employees accommodating employees. Paul Batezan I and my wife have only lived in Las Vegas for a week so we were searching Yelp for a nail salon. My wife EXTREMELY picky about her nails so I was going thru the reviews with a fine tooth comb. I came across Nail Time & Spa and was very impressed with the reviews. I decided to give it a try. I booked an appointment online which was very easy. I had chosen one nail tech but I got a call that she wasnt available. I told them that my wife was picky about my nails and asked for someone who was very good. The receptionist said she was going to book me with Julie because she was "one of the best". Let me tell you that statement was TRUE!! When we walked in, we loved the look and vibe of the salon. I was offered something to drink and everyone was very nice. Julie was finishing up a pedi so another tech filed my wife gel polish off. She was very sweet. Then Julie came over. Nice, personable, listened to what I wanted and delivered!! I cant wait to go back!!!

Niki Anstrand I am so glad Alebrijes is so close to my home. I have been coming here for almost two years now, and Sandra does an absolutely amazing job on my nails every single time (I have gotten sculpture gel and acrylic nails with gel polish, both shiny and matte styles in a variety of colors). I have also gotten pedicures from multiple women who work here and my toes always come out amazing, and everyone who works here has been really kind and welcoming to me. I even recently brought one of my best friends who was visiting from Florida to come get a pedicure with me from Alebrijes, and not only did she love how her pedicure came out, but she also said the salon was the most beautiful nail salon she had ever been in, which I absolutely agree with. You can definitely tell that all the women who work at Alebrijes take a lot of pride in their work, and the beauty, cleanliness and atmosphere of the salon. I was surprised tonight to see that there are some negative reviews on here from people saying that there was no parking or that they didnt like that the salon is appointment only. I come here every two weeks, and my appointments have been all different days of the week and times of day, and there is always parking right around the corner at Santa Venetia park, I have literally never had a single issue finding basically half the parking lot open there. Of course, if youre only looking to park in the spaces right in front of the salon youll have an issue, because those spots are notoriously always taken, but the park I park at is only a minute and a half walk from the salon, is free and always has spots so I always go straight there. I have also always had a good experience with their online booking, it is super easy to add services or guests, but I do make sure to try to book ahead for my fills because they are very popular and its important to book ahead of time if you have a busy schedule. The fact that they are appointment-only is a good sign to me, because they provide high-quality service and therefore are busy because they are in high demand. Also, their sugar scrub that they give you to wash your hands with after a manicure smells AMAZING, I always leave Alebrijes super happy and relaxed. I very highly recommend this salon and will continue to be a customer and bring my friends for spa days for as long as I live in the area.

Mariko Ladrillono I had my eyelash permed(lifted) and it was one of the worst ones Ive had. I asked for natural curls (thats what the girl recommended to me too) but I ended up having my eyelashes curled almost 90 degrees. I waited to see if the curls soften as time passed but no, they were damaged. Some of my lashes were curled so awkwardly that they started poking my eyes. I even had to pull some out myself. Im so disappointed by the result and upset that I have to deal with this until my lashes fall off. *You can see in the picture how my lashes were permed. They were definitely not NATURALLY curled.

Niki A. I was looking for a new nail place since moving to the area and I am so glad I found Alebrijes! Sandra did a beautiful job on my nails (sculpture gel/hard gel fill manicure) and she was really careful about asking me if I had any discomfort throughout the process and making sure I was comfortable. She also did a beautiful job on the shape of my nails (I like almond shape), and made sure I liked the shape before applying color (which I did because she did a fantastic job). I love that they give you a sugar scrub for your hands after the manicure as well. The pedicure was amazing, and Jessica asked me if I wanted the sugar scrub added which I did. I definitely recommend the sugar scrub because it was amazing and smelled really nice. She was meticulous and did an amazing job of making my toes look beautiful. The inside of the shop was bright and clean and welcoming. I will definitely be going back as a regular in the future! Bonus: it is right next to a Taco Shop!

Angela Garcia Got a gift certificate from my sister in law to this spa. I tried to make an appointment on line but it wouldnt go through. So I called and made an appointment. My technician was very quite, not really talkative. Very clean, nice facility. I had a gel manicure, and spa pedicure. The manicure was beautiful. I didnt really feel I got a good scrub down of my calluses on my feet though. I had ordered the callus remover and she forgot. I reminded her and she turned around and looked at the manager to confirm. After the manger said, yes I had ordered it, then She put the callus remover on my feet and then stuck my feet in the water straight away. I asked if that was going to be effective and she said yes. I was confused because no one had ever done that at any other salon. Besides that, they offered me water or wine, which was nice. The manager was very attentive and kind as well. I liked the way the mani pedi turned out. Very pretty and matched nicely. When I went to pay, the manager didnt know how to apply the gift certificate on their computer system. So it took a while to figure out. I had 18 dollars left over from my certificate, and she just rounded it off to 20 for my next visit. She couldnt reprint the certificate so she just signed my copy with a 20 dollar credit. It was a nice visit over all. As Im leaving my online appointment goes through. Lol. I had to ask her if they were going to charge my card because the appointment had just gone through. She said not to worry about it, if there was any issues to come back and shed resolve it.

Tara Smith I was very disappointed when I went one week ago had an appointment and Lisa was my nail tech. I could tell her mood was off but I didn’t say anything but hi and let her know what services I would like. I thought everything was good until I asked her to check my ingrowns and she clipped and was pulling them in one pull I was like ok then when it was time to do my wax she went so fast had my big toe out of the bag then insults to injury never painted my third toe on right foot my second toe polish fell off couple days later I drive 1hour and a half to join my son at the salon for relaxing experience. I will not be returning everyone else in the shop has been nice not sure what happened with Lisa on that day Take care all will take my hard earned money elsewhere I was tipping her 15 dollar previous but that day tipped her 8 dollars and wish I would have kept my money

Mariah Leaness No star, she ruined my nails, I went to go get a French tip they literally looked a week old not to mention she loves to make you bleed , I legit will never ever bring my business here neither should you! Over charge you, they aren’t doing things rite there. And they all talk bad about you while you’re trying to relax she is disgusting and then I called to see if she can fix my nails, she said she would charge me. Pathetic. My nails are like 1 day and half old and they legit look like there two weeks old !!!!!!!! I’m upset I spent 56$ on this???? Pcifshit ugliest set I have ever had in my life she is the girl with the long hair , that sits next to the cashier

Judith Gonzales I’ve came here about 3 times and I appreciate the respect they show customers. If I have a question about a color or anything nail related, they have shown courtesy in answering me. There have been other times I’ve tried asking a question at other salons and they just give me a short answer and leave me hanging. Anyways service is great I will definitely continue to come here and recommend it to others. Charlie is the one who this review refers to he’s the only one I’ve received service with.

Undie Undress This is the WORST nail salon I’ve ever been to!!The technician over filed my acrylic nails and my real nails! She made my nail bed flat! The worst experience ever. I had been waiting for my nails to soak in acetone for 30 minutes so obviously I had to ask how long I still needed to wait for. And that’s the only time they thought of attending to me. Then they started speaking to each other in their language - which was so RUDE. The technician was overdoing filing my nails to a point where it was already too hot on my nails it hurt!

I love that she used different techniques to try and get the right shading and blending for the base of my nail. I didn’t get her name but she was amazing! I’m definitely will be coming back here!

I never had this Before so I was very excited to get get them done. This plaza is located right off.The freeway on the 805 south.

Narda Reyes I had a really disappointing experience at this nail salon. The service was super rushed, and the staff was rude from the start. The nail technician didn’t cut my cuticles or did a mani, and the whole process felt unprofessional. I chose a clear color, so I understand that it wasn’t their fault—but there was no design, no extra effort, nothing special at all. Yet, they charged me $69 for this! I honestly don’t understand how a plain color with minimal work could cost that much. The total service lasted about 30 mins... On top of that, when I paid with my credit card, I wasn’t even given the option to leave a tip. The nail technician then said something in her language in a rude tone—I have no idea what it meant, but it didn’t sound good. That was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. After reading other reviews, I see that I’m not the only one being overcharged. Some people mentioned paying $100 for a simple color that chipped right away. Prices like this are ridiculous and feel like an abuse of customers. A salon should charge fairly for the work they actually do and treat clients with respect. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
