Kona Yee Maisonry is one of THE BEST salons in San Francisco and I’ve tried a lot!! All the stylists are so sweet, they listen to what you want, and they are sooo knowledgeable about hair health. One of the main reasons I switched salons and decided to come here was because I wanted my hair to get healthy and Charlene did the most amazing job making that my priority. My hair is the healthiest it’s ever been and I can’t recommend Charlene enough. She can do it all but I don’t think I’ve met anyone else that can do a liver in brunette better!! I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a super cute, quality, hair color.

Brigitte DeMeyer Ive been going to Angela for years. She is professional, knowledgeable, and has a good eye for what is best for my hair. Her salon is lovely and her products are wonderful. Cant say enough good things about her!

Seana OConnell Andrew is a hair genius I moved to SF 3 years ago and really struggled to find the one! Andrew just gets it! You don’t even need to speak and he understands the assignment! So lucky to have found him

Lilian Lopez The service is amazing!. The staff is so friendly and also the work they do is amazing. They never disappoint with my highlights or my haircuts. Angela is the best and always does more than amazing on my highlights. I only let her color my hair and I trust her to do any color she wants and always comes out looking amazing. Sammys cuts look great for weeks, and her product suggestions for keeping my hair looking almost as good as it does when she styles it are right on. Richard Fagan B Parlor salon is the best! While I always see Filomena, who I love and adore (and who is incredibly talented), all the staff at B Parlor are amazing. Also the space is beautiful and welcoming and just a wonderful all around experience. Couldnt recommend them more!

Sara Haag There is simply no one like Filomena. Talented, nice, patient and I can attest to this as I’ve been going to her for 10 years. I even drive back into the city for her. She cuts my hair like no other, and is just a lovely human all around. Gorgeous new salon too!

Laura McCann I can’t say enough good things about Fionnuala and the team at Dolled and Dapper! Fionnuala has been my hairdresser for just under 3 years. She is the absolute best. If you are a blonde looking for a new hairdresser look no further, Fionnuala is your girl. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my color. Her skill and attention to detail is unmatched. She has an abundance of knowledge and has helped get my hair back to full health after dying it blonde for years. If youre looking for someone who truly cares about their clients and delivers exceptional results, I highly recommend Dolled and Dapper.

Kyra Meyer-Johanson Justin is amazing at cuts that look polished yet lived in. He’s the best stylist I’ve ever worked with. I moved two hours away from and make the trek every few months to get my hair cut here. Thanks you and hit him up :)

Leah McPheeters Angelina was friendly, and knew exactly what I wanted. So glad to find a shop thats knowledgable in a wide variety of hairstyles, including vintage looks.

Thomas Schulz TLDR: Nice people, but practice poor customer care. If you miss an appointment they’ll charge you ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the cost. This review sucks to write. The stylist I had during my first appointment was wonderful. Great cut. Great chat. However, it was the first time I styled my hair and asked her for a recommendation on when I should get my hair cut next. She recommended 3 months. My hair didn’t grow out much in 3 months and I forgot about our appointment because I didn’t need a cut. I received a call from a frustrated salon about missing the appointment, understandable, but I’m also not thinking about an appointment someone else recommended 3 months ago. The other day, I booked an appointment for August 20th, somehow a mix up in their calendar system happened and I got scheduled for August 13th. 20 minutes AFTER the appointment started I received a text if I’m coming, which I wasn’t, and got charged $110. I called to figure out what’s happening. No answer. I went into the salon to talk to the woman that cut my hair 5 months prior and she said “they run a business here” and it’s their policy to charge especially after “missing twice” and kept the $110 charge saying that I’d have to pay again despite my hair being just as long. I write this review to the people that aren’t thinking about their hairstylists schedule 24/7 like myself and to be careful about booking this place. If an issues happens in their system or they give you a recommendation months in advance that doesn’t map well to your situation, you may just get charged a hefty fine. I won’t be coming back.

Liz Schulten Fionula is a color genius. I came to her two years ago with pretty damaged (and orange) hair and she fixed me up right away. As my hair has gone through many changes during postpartum, she’s helped me figure out what color and cut works best. And on top of that, she is so much fun!

Serafina Keltner-McNeil The most lovely, friendly hair salon. Angie and Martha are so talented and warm. My highlights and layered hair cut were beautifully done and very affordable.

Rebecca Gonzalez Martha and Angie are family, Ive been coming to them for 42 years. Ive relocated to Fresno CA and I still come for my hair needs. Will not go anywhere else. Ive had the best haircut,color and highlights and they are the best!!!

Crystal Espinoza I just went to get my hair done there this past weekend and Angie did an amazing job with my color and highlights!! I also got my haircut by Martha and she listened to what I wanted and did a great job as well!! They are very affordable with their prices and you will definitely not be disappointed. I was so nervous to get my hair done in a new salon and they definitely made me feel welcomed and put me at ease. Give them a try you wont regret it!!

Marina Bianchi I have been going to this hair salon for about 7-8 years and it’s consistently good. The color by Angie is always on point, and has been remarkably good every single time. The vibe is great—a simple, no frills, yet amazing service every time.

Chansong Park Martha cut my hair about three weeks ago. It was my first time getting a haircut in the city and the price was totally reasonable and they are all friendly. The quality of the cut was satisfactory. It feels like your own aunt cutting your hair. I really love the family-like vibe and care. FYI, my hair is so thick and very difficult to cut, and they did a fine job. I’m going back here for my next haircut.

Ethan Mancil Hector did a great job helping me tame my quarantine hair lol. I was very apprehensive to cut it all off, and I know my hair is quite curly and difficult to cut. I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted either. Hector worked his magic and I was definitely not disappointed - A+

Daniel Beckerman The only place my fiance approves of the cuts I get. Devon does great with my weird hairline and medium length hair, creating really nice layers. Small place with limited street parking, so try to get there early since you may need to walk a block or so if you drive and need to park. Definitely recommend him if you have weird hair that insists in going in random directions.

Meghan Ghumman I’ve been struggling to find a new hair stylist for some time now, and trust very few people with my hair. I had dark brown hair but wanted to achieve a lighter overall color. After a quick Google search for stylists in the San Francisco area, I filtered through various salons and selected Studio 142. I found their instagram account which featured the work of their stylists. Tyler’s work stuck out to me the most, and I was able to easily contact him through DM to set up an appointment for the very next day! I had been disappointed with my previous stylists and am very picky when it comes to my hair, but Tyler crushed it. We first discussed what color I wanted, and I provided him with reference images. Our game plan was to do a heavy balayage with added root shadow and toner. By the end of my appointment, my hair looked almost identical to the reference pictures! I feel amazing and more confident with my new hair, thanks Tyler! I 100% recommend Studio 142 for anyone looking for a new stylist.

Payton McNamara If you haven’t tried this place please ~don’t~! I went in with curtain bangs and left with a staircase on my face. But not only that, my hairdresser was in a rush, told me I was having a “panic attack” and didn’t even finish the trim. Ive had bad trims before but it’s soooo uneven and the way the hairdresser treated me was what made me sad. (He was whispering about me to his next client but a loud whisper and he made me cry) There was a super nice girl who tried to fix it but he cut off way too much hair so she couldn’t do anything. Also, the lady at the desk was soooo nice but overall it was a horrible experience. *First three pictures are my hair AFTER the nice lady tried to fix it and the last picture is my hair before the cut*

Katherine Schwartz Cheyenne is truly a magician when it comes to color and his haircuts always make me look glamorous. He listens and makes sure you walk looking better than you had hoped. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Gaelle Alessandri Best hair dresser that knows about colors, hairstyles and going to his studio is just a whole vibe. He can glam you up, and knows basically any hairdo. Once you got him as an hairdresser, you cannot go back to anyone else. So chic ✨

Cassandra Tucker Cheyenne Kratz is the best. He’s creative, intuitive and masterful with hair. Every cut, color and style is beautiful. He’s started using the Arete color line combined with Oway shampoo and conditioner and my hair feels next-level luscious!

Keara McCarthy I always come in to Cheyenne with some crazy idea, and I ask him to either “talk me into or out of” my idea. We had a discussion about how we’d tackle the job, and took it one step at a time. It turned out great, and I love it! Exactly what I want every time

Cynthia Golembeski Lisa is incredible. Very efficient, friendly, and talented. I came in to bring my hair length to my shoulders and remove 4-5 inches. The price is outstanding given the quality of the haircut but also the experience itself. Highly recommend to everyone--lovely, amazing, and accomodating. I would have spent 3-4 times the amount, which is the going rate in San Francisco.

Debbie Theuer Stumbled upon Lisa on my daily commute to work every morning and decided to make an appointment to get a haircut. I haven’t been to the salon to get a haircut in 10 years and after seeing all her reviews, I thought I had to give her a shot. I showed her a picture of the type of cut I wanted, and having such thick hair, I was a bit nervous. I let Lisa do her thing as she said she would do a good job. That was an understatement, she did an amazing job, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My hair feel so much lighter and the style is as exactly as I pictured it. I will definitely be coming back for more haircuts as she did not disappoint.

Chiachi Liu -Wolf cut Haircut with Stylist Cesar- I had a pleasant first experience at this salon! I was referred by a friend to try this place out. The stylist I requested was Cesar. He was really nice and made sure what I wanted was clear. We discussed about how the new haircut will behave and suite my face, along with general styling tips. We had insightful conversations and had a good synergy. He was efficient with the shears and checked with me occasionally to stay on the same page with the vision I had. I have fine, straight hair. Prior to this, my hair was long with moderate amount of layers. The haircut I requested was a medium/short wolf cut. Despite the big change, it turned out well! Some people might be hesitant on getting this kind of haircut, but it is important to acknowledge your hair type and discuss with your stylist. Do consider how much styling you are willing to do. The wolf cut style is a fun hairstyle that is best styled often. I still experiment with different ways to style this hair.

Nancy Guillen Unfortunately I had a very poor experience getting my hair done. Was scheduled at 2pm and they started on my hair around 2:50pm-3:00pm. Very little to no consultation, everything felt rushed. I asked to get my roots blended with the rest of my blonde hair, I was left with a choppy band all on the inside of my head. Im flexible and nice about things but super disappointment about not getting any kind of reimbursement. I spent $480.00 plus $100.00 dollar tip. He did offer to come in and fix it for free, but Ive lost all my trust in this company. I feel embarrassed, stupid, and used. be very wary

Mary Honarjo I had a very disappointing experience at this salon , What stood out to me was the pressure they put on customers to leave positive reviews. They actually forced me to write a good review, otherwise, they hinted at not accepting me for future appointments! During my visit, the so-called manager was so rude and dismissive. In front of other customers, he refused to accept me when I didnt comply with their demands. This behavior is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I expected a welcoming environment, but instead, I encountered very poor customer service. I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience. Its essential to choose a place that values its customers and their feedback genuinely.

Crystal X I booked a haircut appointment with Naoto and asked for layers and a bang trim. He delivered exactly what I wanted with great precision, straightening each section of hair before cutting. He also gave me some great styling tips. Highly recommend Naoto for a women’s haircut!

Kaylee George My boyfriend has been coming here for the last three years so I decided to try it for my first haircut in a very long time. Ruoping Xu So happy with my hair! Marcy gave me a consult and we decided to do an airwave perm based on my hair type and the photos that I showed. It turned out great! The overall service was also 5-star. Pricey but worth it to have a hair stylist you can trust!

Chelsea Liu The shop has a clean, pleasant environment, and the stylist was very patient and focused throughout the appointment, which I really appreciated. He took his time, working carefully for two hours. However, despite the attention to detail, the final result wasn’t what I had hoped for. Ultimately, the hairstyle is what matters most, and I had to book another appointment elsewhere to fix it. Unfortunately, I don’t feel the outcome was worth the price.

I have very straight and heavy hair, and the way Atty cuts it, it grows beautifully, preserving volume and looking very healthy. Polly Sapakie I discovered Arrow Salon and Grace during a very challenging time, just after my father unexpectedly passed away. In desperate need of a haircut before the funeral, I walked in feeling overwhelmed. Grace was incredibly kind and compassionate; I even found myself crying as I shared my story with her. Her warmth and understanding made a difficult moment just a little brighter. And the haircut! Grace is truly a master of her craft. At the funeral, three different people approached me to compliment my hair--testament to her extraordinary skill! Recently, she also worked her magic on my daughter, giving her a fun blue streak. Grace was so patient and understanding, making the experience enjoyable for her, especially as a tween. (Grace is GREAT with tweens!) I feel so lucky to have found Grace and Arrow Salon. Reva Parness Kayla did an amazing job cutting my daughters hair. She seemed to know exactly what she wanted from the simplest of descriptions ("oh, you want mermaid hair!), and the results were just that. After being reticent about trying someone new, my daughter cant stop talking about how much she LOVES her new cut and her new stylist. It was my first time at Arrow, and the salon itself is also lovely. Welcoming vibes and lovely women all around.

Sabrina Carle-Parra Kayla did the most amazing job on my hair last week. I have never gotten a balayage so I was bit nervous but the results were incredible. She truly is a master with her work and you can never go wrong getting your hair done by her!!

Rachael Salisbury Grace has been cutting my hair for a few years since I realized my previous stylist just didnt quite know what to do to make my curls thrive. Not only does Grace execute my vision each time, she is a great collaborator when Im not totally sure what I want or know itll take a couple cuts/time to grow out to achieve my desired outcome. A plus product recs when I need it, and more importantly she notices when my hair is not liking whatever is in my current routine. Her chair is always such a treat to be in, and she is a fun, thoughtful stylist all around. Grace is my girl and if she ever leaves Arrow I will follow her wherever she goes!!!

Kristine Bachmann I had my eye lashes filled and it was very expensive. I had the every two week fill and it only took 20 min and she put in just a few lashes I normally have my lashes filled in Wisconsin which takes about an hour and they look great. The lash tech was very nice and pleasant. They spa seemed nice as well. I feel like this service was over priced for what I actually received.

Deborah did a fabulous job with the cut and it super easy to maintain since I am a wash and go kind of gal. Cristen colored my hair with the Balayage method. I have never colored my hair before, but I really love it. Definitely recommend this place!

Anousha Lily did a great job with my keratin treatment! My hair is smooth, shiny, and so much healthier now. She’s skilled, kind, and really knows what she’s doing. Highly recommend her!

Maya Oselsky After finding Rebecca’s page on IG, I immediately made an appointment! Extensions have been a game changer for me! I’ve been unhappy with my extensions for the last 4 months and I was looking for an extension specialist. Rebecca did an amazing job with my weft extensions! She took the time to talk to me about my hair and to understand my hair texture, hair concerns, etc. She identified the reason why I’m unhappy within a few minutes and fixed it! I’m thrilled to have a new hairstylist who is an expert on extensions and is committed to keeping my hair healthy while not giving up extensions. I love the location of the salon. It was fairly easy to find parking and the neighborhood is lovely to walk through.

Lars Johnson Kerrin started cutting my hair earlier this year and it’s been such a great experience every time! Whether it’s a clean-up or full haircut, she not only does a fantastic job, but she’s hilarious and always has fun(ny) stories to tell! Highly recommend for anyone looking to have a fun experience here and get exactly the hairstyle you are looking for!

Larry Wolf Salon Village is a unique and innovative place, and it has been fun to see it develop and grow! The management team is top notch and really fun and friendly. We had the privilege of working with them on a number of brand initiatives with their marketing and website properties. The salon industry is a tough marketplace, but they have really found a sweet spot in the San Francisco area and are caring for and serving clients well!

Shamim Samadi Jennifer is hands down THE BEST!! I only go to her for my haircuts and she always does a beautiful job - what an absolute pro! I have thick challenging hair with a lot of volume and would be often times disappointed with the haircuts I get - but not since Ive found Jen!! Go see her - and you will be wowed. Michael Hotton Recently moving from New York, it took me 5 haircuts to find my spot. Anna is incredibly detail-oriented and efficient, which made my visit a breeze. Unlike other salons that typically take an hour for a less-quality cut, Anna had me in and out of the salon in just 25 minutes. During one of my visits, Anna was out of town, and her so, Eric, was the only stylist available. It was clear that hair styling runs in the family, as Eric delivered an equally impressive haircut and experience. Highly recommended - the attention to detail, efficiency, and the conversations make for a better cut and overall experience!

Raja Rajcic The best Mens haircut in SF with very skilled and friendly staff! Before I found Geary Salon I tried multiple barbershops around SF and none compare. From the first time you come in you are treated like family, and the quality of the cut is unmatched. That is why for the past 3 years I have traveled across the city just for this haircut (shout out to Eric) and would recommend anyone to do the same.

Mike Hogan I have been going here for a couple of years and definitely my favorite. I can even afford to get my haircut twice a month which at normal salons isn’t doable. They are very friendly and accommodating. There’s always a slot open and booking is easy online. Shout out to Anthony & Anna but everyone in there is very friendly and always very busy so I know they are kicking out tight haircuts too.

Tenzin Chomphel This is the spot I would define as the highest quality local family-owned SF barbershop. I always go with Eric or Anthony and both give me a quality cut every time. Ive struggled with barbers in the past not understanding my hair, but (especially if youre an asian guy like me) they listen and know how to work with your needs. But honestly my favorite part is every time you walk in the atmosphere is very welcoming whether its your first time or youve been coming for years. Conversations are great, prices are competitive, would recommend to anyone.

Tammy Herndon Head & Soul is a gem! So happy I finally made it over to this awesome salon to get my hair did!! Seana is the bomb! She’s an expert at color. I have the color I’ve been wanting for so long now. Walked out of there feeling like a new person. I live in Marin and it’s more than worthwhile to go to the city to get my hair done at Head & Soul! I also get my eyelash extensions with Adela at H&S! Love this place ❤️

Darkwing Duck 1st day in town, googled for a hairdresser and found Head&Soul Salon. Walked in and got a super friendly welcome. They organised a schedule just in time and I got a ‚what-I-wanted‘ haircut from Lynn. Very cool place. Highly recommendable, fair price.
