jamilia tyler I had a few issues that I brought up to Kenie and she asked me to contact her to fix it. She apologized for the incidents and made it right the same day. I appreciate her business practices.

Gabschi fitness Its very discouraging that I had to write this however if youre looking for a great service the most youll get from this place is selective service. I made an appointment at this place for 11:00 I made it on time however Kenie was thirty minutes late. I wanted to simply dye some greys in my hair and when she got to the location I told her please dont use any ammonia on my hair. She told me she wouldnt be using any ammonia in my hair and started to rush and put a bunch of product in my hair while talking on the phone and rushing repeating that she had a 12:00 appt. By the time she was done I had a bunch of the product soaked into the outline of my hair and dripping on the side of my face she told me that it would wash off as soon as I got home. The product she used in my hair damaged it and removed patches of skin on my face and the outline of my forehead while I was trying to wash it off. She clearly lied because products that are ammonia free wouldnt do that. My conclusion was to bald my head because of Kenies inability to pay attention to detail and incompetent for trying to make a fast buck funny she charged me 40 and I tipped her after she got the money she hurried me out her store. Never again.

YoungOne Jen Ms. Kenie and her staff are top notch braiders. They have been braiding my hair on and off for the past 7 years, and I have never been disappointed. Whenever I’m out, I’m often asked about my braider. The braiders are super fast, courteous, and my braids have always come out extremely neat. The salon is clean and very welcoming. The most important thing…Ms. Kenie cares about the health of her client’s hair. My edges have remained intact and I’ve never experienced any hair loss after taking my hair down. You will not be disappointed by coming to this salon.

Amanda Narveson Honey salon always does an amazing job! I had severely damaged hair from over processed color. I now have healthy and beautiful and beautiful hair! Always accommodating and able to take care of any questions or concerns. Honey salon goes above and beyond! Owners are amazing as well! Kristy thank you for all your dedication with my hair. And Angie for my lashes and microblading!

aisha j I absolutely love Honey Salon. The staff are always amazing and Kristy is an amazing colorist and hair stylist. They have wonderful products on their shelves, I especially love the Oi products. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice haircut or to get their color touched up. My husband has gone there for men’s cuts too and even though they don’t specialize in them, they did a wonderful job for him as well.

Emily Deal Kristy has been my stylist for years, and every time I go into Honey salon I have an awesome experience! The entire staff is welcoming and friendly, and the salon is clean and super cute, but Kristy is definitely the best ever!! I have curly hair and that can be a challenge, but she always makes me look great. She’s also an amazing colorist. I’ve had every color of the rainbow as well as natural looking hair, she can do it all!

Melot Skee Tony is the guy behind Dream Hair Salon. He is my hair colorist and he never lets me down. I only wanted him to do the retouch but it ended out a total new look. He does not ask too much. He is absolutely recommendable!!

Rainie Duan Worst Stright Perm I have done ever！It didnt worse the price. My reasons listed as follows: 1. My scalp burned after the Perm, which was hurt. And I found several large pice of dandruff comes out, which I hadn’t experienced before. My skin was dry and I didn’t have dandruff issue. 2. After the perm, my hair was not straight at all, and because of this, I doubt the ‘ 20 years experience’ that the barber claimed. 3. After the Perm, about 2 inches hair was cut. But still a lot of splits (which was not this serious before the perm). Some end part of my hair was scorched and became Z shaped.

E de las Frutas So glad I found this place. Ive had my locs for 14 years and refused to go to a stylist. Unfortunately, my hair became so damaged, I couldnt fix it. Looked around for other stylists in my area, but didnt see any good reviews like this place. J James fit me into his already busy schedule.Definitely recommend! My hair got twisted and had some locs reattached. Years of damage gone! Will be returning. Update July 15, 2023 Been going here for over a year now. Still love this place!

Esther Nabwire Been going to Js salon for years. He did my starter locs and has nurtured them over the years. My hair has grown like weeds and is super healthy! I am guaranteed a unique style every time I go and walk out feeling like royalty

Tyler Smith 10/10 would recommend anyone to go to J James, especially if you have locs! He knows what he is doing and has been doing it for YEARS! Very professional, great atmosphere, reasonable prices and if youre acting right hell leave you with a few extra laughs too lol

Mike and Beth Hendrick I love Byuti. Ive been seeing Kelli for years for facials, and she is just such a spot of joy all the time. My skin glows for days after visits with her. I also recently started seeing Justine for my hair and I am so happy with that decision. Ive been mulling a french bob for a while but was never quite ready to take the plunge. We did it this week and it looks awesome! I genuinely feel like the ladies at Byuti listen to their clients. Recommended!

Moira OBrien Such a great salon!! Greeted warmly and had the best shampoo and haircut by Laureen. She is a wonderful stylist!

Alison M C 2nd visit: Shady business practices. I made an appointment for partial highlights and a haircut. Their website lists that for $130 (see screenshot). By phone, a receptionist quoted me $150-180, saying the online rate is for new stylists and the experienced person taking my appointment would be more expensive. Okay. I went to my appointment and was worked in with another customer. I knew this was possible, just pointing out it was not individual service. Went to the desk after and was told my service would be $250. I immediately spoke up saying I was quoted maximum $180. I asked for a breakdown and didnt get one, but she agreed that my max quote is fair. Looking at their website again, the service is not listed as $130++ or "depending on stylist"...but simply $130 even. No range. So my charge was inflated first by the receptionist and then again by the stylist--two different people. The more I think about it, the more I feel cheated. I cant return or recommend a place that has questionable business practices like this. Im upset bc my first visit was problem free and I know this review may negatively affect honest people that work here, but customers deserve to be warned. Look at their website before you go--and insist they be fair and follow their listed prices. 1st visit: Got my bangs trimmed today with Desi. She took an old photo I had, perfectly described the bangs I get (wispy, textured, not too heavy, just above the eyebrows) and cut them exactly how I like. She started slowly to check my approval on the length. Then she finished up with extra detail work to blend my new trimmed bangs into my current shaggy haircut. She was also sweet and chatty in the best way. Ill definitely book her for my haircut next time. The salon was clean, relaxing, and bright with chill motown music.

Christina Martinez I have not had my hair cut in a long time for several reasons but mostly because of the amount of hair loss I have had. I don’t have any bald spots but it’s has become so thin that I was holding onto the little bit I have but it looked so stringy I knew I needed a cut so I asked my They both said Paula. I knew they would not go to just anyone and they were correct. I was nervous going there and as soon as I got there I was at ease. Paula is professional for start to finish. I forgot I was getting my hair cut I was so relaxed. I always have loved getting my hair shampooed by someone else and Paula is the best and I am not just saying that. I don’t know what else to say besides it was a fabulous experience and I will be going back. The fact that the hair style was fantastic was just a bonus to the experience. The other staff were so friendly and welcoming as well. I’m so glad I found Paula and The Color Bar.

Lauren Gaffaney I’ve been going to Josie for a year and a half now, and she does such phenomenal work, whether I want highlights and lightening up my hair, or more recently I’ve been going darker. Whatever I ask for, she delivers. The salon itself is clean, comfortable and welcoming. I know my hair is in good hands. It is definitely pricey but worth the money for such fantastic service.

zara bupara i got my hair dyed there in early may, it’s almost july and my hairs still bleeding. i didn’t get what i asked for at all i showed multiple all over color photos and got chunky bright blue highlights in my black hair instead of the all over blue. it’s bled everywhere all over my clothes and walls and bedding. my skin is almost permanently blue/green as well. when i went in to get it fixed she still charged me to fix the roots which were extremely bright blue highlighted and made me feel hideous. they also said it was normal for it to bleed and maybe it was at first since i went in a couple days after but bleeding for months is not and i know that for a fact bc ive been coloring my own hair for over 8 years now. its just really frustrating that i went to get my hair done for the first time at an actual salon as a treat and it’s just resulted in months of aftercare and money. i attached my reference photos shown and then how my hair looked after. the picture of my neck and hands are from early mid june so well over a month since i got it done

Jen Haynes I have gone to the salon three times the first time I got extensions for the first time I feel like she overcharged me for the pieces that I got my hair is very thin looking I spent $1300 and only got six pieces of extension she brought a bundle out and I noticed when she was done putting the extensions in there was still a whole half a bundle left that she brought out for me I noticed she didn’t use all of it then I went back and told her for the second time that I think my hair is too thin looking I want it to be full looking can she add more extensions she said she doesn’t think I need any more I went in to get a touchup for my extensions and a color touchup on my hair roots she charged me $1200 when it was supposed to be $305.00. I called Kayla and I told her about the quadruple charges and all she said was she undercharged you it was supposed to be $405.00 I said well she charged me 1200 then she said there are no tickets that were printed? Well I see my bank statement and it shows 305.00 2 times and $405.00 plus 95.00 besides the error if the hair was done correctly the amount is no issue it’s the lack of in in inhumanity I was given. don’t do people ways that you don’t want to be done to you.

Rebecca Parnianchi This is my second time at this location. I see Kayla regularly because I have short hair and it requires constant maintenance. This salon sells hair products in a little boutique at the front -saves time from having to go somewhere else. They also offer complimentary refreshments which is nice.

krystal bell I received a my first facial here in January of 2023. The facial was really great. Because I have oily, porous skin and am someone of African descent, I am skeptical of facial. However, Ashley was very aware of my skin type and her products left my skin smooth and soft. I recommend her to anyone wanting to get a facial for the first time.

Amelia Sekhon Ashley provided one of the best facials I’ve ever had. Her space is so cute and super zen! I’ve already booked again with her because my skin has never been happier!

Emma Willard Maddie is so fantastic. I have a very asymmetrical cut with strong curls and it was easily accommodated at Maverique. The venue itself is very chill and relaxed with water, coffee and tea available while waiting. Being my first time there, I gave Maddie the rundown of my last stylist and what was done, my hairs quirks, my unfortunate picky preferences lol, offered pictures, and we discussed her thoughts. Shes so technically oriented and explained everything (which I really appreciated as an engineer!). She honestly didnt even need any guidance, she easily accommodated me and cut my hair fantastically and really timely. The prices are so reasonable, overall highly recommend!

Theresa Loewen Angie is the best I have ever been too! She does amazing haircuts and color! I would highly recommend her if you are trying Maverique out for the first time!

Sherrie I saw Misha on Saturday she is amazing. She gave me the best color and style I have had in years. She fit me in last minute on a Saturday afternoon, but never made me feel like I was a last minute appointment. I told her what I wanted and she exceeded my expectations. She is personable and extremely talented I could not be happier. Friends and family said my hair looked fabulous and that I looked great when they saw me later that day. She even took the time to show me how to style my own hair while she was blow drying it, and what products to use to make it look just as great when I have to do it myself. I will not go anywhere else I am a client forever! And the price was very reasonable. What more could you ask for!!! Thank you Misha!

Jocelyn Simlick First off, this place is soo cute with the nerdy/comic book/sci-fi theme. It’s also large and open which I really enjoyed. It gives plenty of space for each artist to do their thing and provides plenty ventilation for any hair product fumes. Secondly, Shannon did my hair and she did an AMAZING life-changing transformation. She put all her knowledge and talent into the long process and I couldn’t be more pleased with the final result. Additionally, she was so friendly and made me feel extremely comfortable in her chair. I will definitely be coming back! Thank you so much Shannon and Sector 7!!

Truth Soldieress Went to Shannon with the idea I wanted to brighten up my already red hair with a much richer brighter shade instead I left with very different colors and was not even toned. She offered to fix and I wasted another few hours in her chair this time with a haircut since I was rushed out on my initial appointment. My hair is way too short and the color is awful. Before and after pictures. The before photo was taken two months ago and was even toned at least more so than it is now. She left color on my hairline and my time and money is wasted. Do not recommend. Also when someone wants a trim or to just get an even haircut that doesn’t mean chop 3 inches off.

Aria Soeprono Ana is sweet and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. I never quite know what I want to get done with my hair and Ana let me look through inspiration photos while at the salon and she was helpful in figuring out what style would look best. It is clear that Ana is passionate about her work and even talked me out of getting color, so she definitely takes into account customer lifestyle over her pocketbook when advising clients. Ana is very knowledgeable about hair and has flexible scheduling.

daniela cabrera I am from out of town and I was looking for the best rated hair salon in Sacramento and found this place ! Ana did not disappoint, she delivered exactly what I wanted and more ! She explained to me everything she was doing and why based on the pics I showed her I wanted and my hair type. Super sweet and knowledgeable!! Highly recommend if I could give more than 5 starts I would ! Also handled my thick Latina hair so well !

Heather LaVergne I had the pleasure of having my hair done by Ana. She started our appointment by sitting down with me and discussing what my goals are for my hair. We looked over pictures I brought in and talked about what my options were and what would work best for my hair. Even though we decided to go with a process involving bleach, I felt completely at ease because of the amount of time Ana took assessing the health of my hair and explaining what the process would be. Personally, anytime I get my hair done, I get antsy after a couple hours, but Ana was such a delight and the time went by so quick! Not only that, but it was such an enjoyable experience all around. She finished by showing me a couple products that would help keep my hair looking and feeling the way I want; things I can do at home to avoid constant upkeep. I highly suggest you book an appointment today; your hair will thank you!

Jocelyn Cardenas If there was a zero star option I would choose it because the first time I went to get my brows done they came out pretty good but I had a rash I thought maybe because I had makeup on but who knows. The second time I went to get my brows done my mom told them that I got very red after and they just kept yapping about how the redness was maybe because i was allergic, anyways this time the wax was very hot and the kept using the same wax stick and after I left they didn’t throw it away which that’s disgusting, back forward to my brows they were superrrr uneven and my brows where thick and full after this my brows where thin and not very full. And I got a super bad rash, swollen eyes that I couldn’t open, and my skin got burnt. DON’T GO THERE!!!!!!

Anna Fadum They managed to squeeze me in last minute for a simple haircut which is a plus, but Joanna doesnt understand English well enough/doesnt explain herself clear enough. She chopped off way too much and when I explicitly asked to not make face framing layers but the shortest layers in the back, she assured me that she knows what she is doing and did it anyway. I trusted that she understood what I wanted but when it was done the end result was exactly what I DIDNT want. I was so sad I was shaking. I have small kids and cant ever get out for self care. Ive been growing my hair out for over a year and thought Id finally get the haircut I wanted. So disappointed ☹️

Natalie Small Roxanne is literally the best. Always makes me feel like a Rockstar. Shes super knowledgeable and walks you through everything shes doing so your never out of the loop. She completely fixed me up after my horrible experience at a place Ill leave unnamed. Its been a work in progress but shes always had the integrity of my hair at top priority. She gained a lifetime client. The salon itself is great. Very welcoming and clean. Highly recommend.

Starla Wehrli I came here to get a haircut by Roxanne. She did an excellent job. This salon is very clean and maintained and all the staff were inviting and very nice. The whole thing was seamless and I recommend Roxanne for your hair needs! She does great hair cuts but is also a brilliant colorist!
