Andrick Maison Builders It’s not easy to find someone who can do a fade efficiently, with skill, and at a good value. This place checks all of those boxes. Once I find someone who can do that I always go to them given that I like to cut my hair every 2-3 weeks. Abby knows what she’s doing and will make sure you leave feeling good with your new cut.

Checked this place out after seeing great reviews and fair pricing a few months since moving to the area. Flor was very knowledgeable and did a beautiful job with my hair. Late hours means I can get my hair cut after work also, I will certainly be returning!

I usually have a hard time finding a place that listens to specific details I like done to my hair without being over the top expensive, but the hairstylists here always listen. Steve Hunsader Paco and associates are the best! Our family of 4 has been coming here for at least 4 years now, wife, perhaps twice that. Paco seems to know what looks best on each of us, and has nailed it each time. SO HAPPY that this group made it through Covid, and are thriving now. 5+ Stars for Paco.

JJ king Full disclosure: I was forced to cancel my appointment so I cannot comment on their technique, only on their customer service which was horrendous. Originally the salon was highly recommended to me. I needed a bleach touch up and haircut. I called the salon and spoke with the owner, Paco, and ended up booking a haircut and color consultation with Joanna. I was quite excited! However, the very night before my appointment Joanna TEXTS me asking if she can reschedule me. Since I have four kids and needed to get a babysitter for this appointment in the first place, I said no I could not. However, I did ask if maybe she could do the bleach at the same time as the haircut and sent a picture of what my hair currently looks like. She then tells me she does NOT cut short hair. I said I never heard of such a thing with the hairstylist before, and that Paco never mentioned this when I booked my haircut as a new client. She suggested I talked to him which I did the next morning. When I again expressed my frustration with Paco about not being told she doesnt cut short hair and the difficulties I went to to get this appointment in the first place, he told me I was passive aggressive and had negative energy. He told me he did not want my business, and I ended up canceling my appointment because I did not want to go to a salon that treated a new client so poorly without even knowing my situation. I also dont want a hair stylist who isnt well versed in all hairstyles because this makes me question their training. Im sure Joanna is great at color. People have told me as such. But I refuse to attend a salon that treats people offensively and rudely, and I suggest you think twice before going here if youve never been before. And definitely dont go to Joanna if you have short hair. Shes not trained to cut it. *** Updated response to Pacos reply: I think its pretty clear from your response that you arent willing to understand my frustration. Your response to my negative Google review and lack of apology is just as hostile as you were on the phone with me. You have never met me, Im a brand new client, and you called me passive-aggressive and labeled me with bad energy -- all because I expressed my frustration with you not letting me know Joannas inability to cut short hair when I called to schedule the appointment. This oversight, combined with Joannas late night text requesting a time change to my early morning appointment, was extremely frustrating and this is what I expressed to you. Rather than going back and forth in a "he said/she said situation," lets use this as a learning experience: I will always ask a new salon if they cut short hair, and when a new client calls to schedule a haircut you not assume just because Im a girl that I would have long hair and instead provide pertinent information so that neither one of us is in this despicable situation again. I did misunderstand your phone comment about hair cutting, and have updated my original review to reflect Joannas preference.)

Joseph Mullens Paco is really good at cutting mens hair. Ive been coming to him for years, and always does a consistent great job. Comparable haircuts have cost me considerably more . He has a great sense of what looks good on you. Not all barbers are artists, but Paco is one. I used to not care and go to one near my work with a one-size-fits-all approach, but at some-point my wife hated these haircuts so much once that tears poured out of her eyes. I learned to appreciate the artists touch.

Her Own Frequency Salon proprietor, Darcy Chacon, has been my go-to cut and color professional for the last 15 to 16 years. She is without a doubt the most highly skilled stylist I have encountered in her field, and I truly consider her an artist. When you find a good one, they are worth their weight in gold. My hair has changed so much throughout the last few decades, so having someone who really knows it is a godsend. If you want a truly exceptional resource for taking care of all your hair needs, you will not find a higher quality human than Darcy. Even though I am leaving the Bay Area, I will continue to follow her anywhere. She is worth every penny and I highly recommend her.

Riva Shoshana This is the place to go for a great hair style and Darcy is the owner/stylist to go to. I recently relocated here from suburban NYC so finding someone who can do a beautiful cut & color is an important part of settling in to my new life. I tried a few other places and Darcy is the best. Darcy makes you feel like your best friend is doing your hair!

Sheri Dostal They got me in quickly and did a good job on my basic haircut and blow dry. Staff was friendly and kind. I do not live local but needed a haircut while in town. I called several places but this was the only one I found nearby that didn’t charge $100+ for a women’s cut. I paid $35 which was very reasonable. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the shop was kind of dirty which is a bit of a turn off, but if that stuff doesn’t bother you, then it’s 5 stars!!

Blackheart Shade A variety of types of salons. Waxing, facials, hair cuts/color/straightening, massage parlors and nails. Have tried a few places. My #1 favorite is Happy Salon. Ive been going to them for several years to get blow outs, color, trim, and, more recently, Japanese straightening. The couple is very friendly, understanding and listens to/does what you ask for. They have great customer service, quality and prices.

Sal Eldeen Ashley was incredibly rude and I would not recommend this place. I tried to cancel my appointment because I wasnt feeling well, but they told me it would cost 50%. I decided to come in anyway, but they still charged me the cancellation fee and I didnt even get my hair done. Stay away from this place, it was a terrible experience.

Tami Healey I FREAKING LOVE THIS PLACE!! Lindsey was A.MAZ.ING!!! I had such a last minute hair emergency....too humiliating for me to even step outside in public with...and even tho the shop was about to close this day, Lindsey understood my circumstances and her empathetic soul took me in at the last minute and saved the day! With her expertise in understanding hair texture and lifestyle I live, she was able to have me walking on air when i left. And our pleasant conversation while being primped really turned my awful day around! And the pricing was unbelievably fair! Worth every penny and more!

Dropped in to PRIMP to see if I could get help and Millie was the hair fairy I needed. She fixed the brassy ugliness and restructured the color with mastery. Wont go anywhere else again!

Samantha Rajaram I’ve been seeing Mona for years now. She can do it all-razor cuts, point cutting, balayage, highlighting, keratin treatments, even threading! She’s so talented and kind and treats her clients so well.

Melissa Im extremely satisfied with my hair! Ive been to see Laura 3 times now. Once for a color correction, and a hair cut, and this last time, more blonde highlights that frame my face. She is personable, professional, and knows what she is doing! I would refer anyone to go see Laura for a cut/color/style. The salon is downtown redwood city across from Philz coffee and it is a beautiful salon. I felt very at ease there.

Scott Rogoff Laura has been giving me great haircuts for years, so I had to check out her brand new studio. Just enter Sola Salons from Broadway, and Firefly is immediately to your left. The decor is charming. The experience (wash, cut, blow dry, etc.) was excellent as usual. Laura always keeps me entertained with lively conversation. This says a lot, coming from an introvert who often prefers silence over small talk. Highly recommended!

Jenny Bodnar They do a great job with my kids (1 & 3 year old boys) and the price ($15) is better than Ive found anywhere in the area! Also, no wait. Highly recommend! They didnt speak English and I dont speak Spanish but it wasnt an issue.

Wendin Chrisie (Chris) My daughter is a regular of Priyas and brought me in to get a new look. Priya did an amazing job on both of us! She was so patient and really listened to what I wanted, issues Ive had with my hair, etc. I love the new cut and style and really appreciated the ideas for what to do next as it grows. The products she uses smell great and feel good in my hair. Convenient location and parking nearby was easy.

Melissa H I recently visited Priya for a keratin treatment and haircut and loved it! I’ve gotten compliments from multiple people about how healthy my hair looks. I highly recommend making an appointment with her at BHD. Priya was so thoughtful and detail oriented with everything she did with my hair. She took her time (but still ended on time) and checked in to make sure everything was to my standards. She also made sure I was comfortable the entire time - when she saw I brought my laptop, she immediately asked me if I needed the WiFi password. The studio was nice and quiet and even had snacks which was an added plus.

Hediyeh Lavasani I’ve been coming to Sproos for over 3 years now. My stylist Hoonaz is amazing. She knows exactly what I am looking for. The service is great and the staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. They always have the best products as well.
